When I first started making tree-topper angels, I made both light and dark-skinned versions. But I was never really happy with the colour I achieved in my dark-skinned angels, because the dye-style paints I was using were just a bit too transparent. I stopped making them because I felt I didn't do them justice.

However, over the last couple of years there have been a few special requests for dark-skinned Christmas fairies, and I have honoured these requests by making some in this collection using new paints. I am over the moon with the results - this is the first, and she is absolutely one of my favourites for 2026. Truth be told, it is going to be hard to let her go. 🩷

My favourite detail of today's Christmas fairy is her little tulle bolero - can you see it in these pictures? It is so sweet, fitted with a mirrored glass and pearl collar and finished with a brass ribbon charm. Adore! X

Thrilled to announce my first line up of Melbourne workshops for 2027. These were offered to my newsletter subscribers last night, so as you can see the bracelets workshop has already sold out (thank you 💕), and the other two workshops are filling fast. They are both gorgeous projects, and your workshop experience includes all the materials and tools you need - plus a plethora of delicious extra bits I like to bring with me for you to play with!

This workshop series will take place at the beautifully curated shop Bella Fabrics in Canterbury. All the details are available on my website - I would absolutely love to spend a day creating with you. Xx

If you've been following along, this is christmas fairy number 16. That means I'm over halfway through the collection today 💕 and if you've been keeping count, you will notice that there are quite a few fairies I haven't shared with you yet...🧐 there's a good reason why! I plan to share that AND my launch night announcement this weekend 🙌 it is going to be earlier than previous years - time to get excited! Xx

After a short pause to regroup from our awful week last week, it felt good to be busy with my hands again today. My mind is never very still, but it comes closest to it when I am creating.

I actually have no idea where this little christmas fairy came from today. She had no plan, but rather just emerged across the morning. Her colouring is obviously not traditional, but the teal green of her skirt against her firey hair is really something else. The floral crown is crafted from very old fabric flowers from my collection and her bodice is a slither of vintage beaded sari. I hope she brings a little sparkle to your day too. Xx

A moment for the dress - five layers of gathered tulle lie underneath this incredible gold embroidered lace, which has been hand stitched into place and embellished with tiny green baubles. Vintage embroidered silk bodice with an old sari remnant sash and finished with a handmade head-piece hand made from mirrored glass and a vintage swarovski crystal flower. Xx
