👁 Love's Sweet Protection 👁

This show-stopping motif has to be one of the centrepieces from the Heart Magic collection. They eye is hand embroidered in careful layers - first the iris, then the pupil, a hint of a light reflection and the whites to finish. Working in this tiny size means that each stitch must be slow and highly intentional. But my favourite bit?! It is brought to life by the gold metallic outline and beaded lashes - they just sparkle!

When I created this motif all I could think of was the Eye of Protection and it's magic symbolism, but I included enamel painted love hearts to reference the incredible resilience and spiritual strength that love gives us. Like an invisible shield against the world, it helps us endure even the toughest battles.

This bracelet comes in four beautiful colourways, all available now xx

Its a rainy day in Melbourne which casts the perfect natural light for photography, so I am soaking up the opportunity to get my shots ready for Tuesday.

I do all my own product shoots myself, and have done the whole way along so I have had to learn a LOT over the years. It is still one of my least favourite aspects of my business (only because it doesn't come naturally to me), but I'm not ready to hand it over to someone else yet. Why? Well, in a funny way it gives me a chance to revisit each piece of work and really take it in. I have a quiet moment with each one, and in that moment I see it with fresh eyes - I get to see it as you will for the first time. Often it is the first time I actually get to say "gosh, I really love that." And then sadly, it is also my best chance to say goodbye to my art - which honestly never gets easier! xx
