Attention adventurous toddlers! Tingle Tangle is back at ArtPlay 🎊🍥

There is a big tangle going on at ArtPlay and we need a whole lot of toddlers to help stretch it out. Come and stretch, wind, wobble, sing, and play in this big tangle of fun in this interactive, movement workshop.

Guided by artist Emma Salzano, toddlers and carers will move through a play-space, meet other children, listen to music and sounds, and play with textured objects and fabrics.

Join master drummer and multi-instrumentalist Kofi Kunkpe Kofi Kunkpe Music - kofikunkpe.com in a joyful music and movement workshop. Originally from Cape Coast, Ghana, Kofi is a keeper of his culture who is passionate aboutharing the songs, dances, and rhythms of West Africa.

You and your child will groove together, try out some pint-sized percussion, and learn songs you can take home to continue the musical exploration.

Theres just one day until Undertow debuts its second stage at ArtPlay 💙🌊

We still have plenty of tickets available for Friday and Sunday. Undertow is a work-in-progress performance for pregnant people, new parents, babies in the womb and pre-walking babies. By joining us for the show, you'll be a part of creating something beautiful for future expecting families to witness, centred around the experiences of pregnancy.

Undertow is back after its sold-out debut stage at ArtPlay! Undertow is a sensory workshop designed for babies in utero and pre-walking babies 🌊💙

This is an hour-long session where adults and babies will actively help create and test moments of this new show, alongside the artists. Together we’ll shape the evolving world of the experience using sound, drama, movement, light and shadow.

The curiosity of the babies will guide us as we weave images and story around the epic experience of pregnancy and new parenthood.

This project is part of ArtPlay’s New Ideas Lab – a program that develops new creative experiences for children over three stages with collaboration from artists, children and audiences alike. Please note that by attending one of these programs you will be part of a work in progress and helping to dream up something totally unique and exciting.

Learn how to make bright, colourful and personality-showcasing jewellery in our Wearable Art workshop!

Dates: Thursday 16, Friday 17 and Sunday 19 April, 2-4pm
Age: 9 to 13 years

Design and make stunning wearable pieces of art using colourful recycled plastics, vintage jewellery, and found objects.

Sustainability-focused jeweller, Emma Grace will share the foundations of jewellery design and construction with hints and tricks to make your pieces look fantastic.

You can even bring along a pair of pre-loved shoes to embellish!

On the Sunday session, parents and/or carers can join the workshop with their children too!

Seen and Heard is a project seeded by ArtPlay’s New Ideas Lab, where young people collaborate with artists to develop brand-new creative experiences. If you sign up for this program, be aware: you might be part of a work in progress, but you’ll also be helping dream up something totally original.

As part of this creative process, the artists will be recording the voices of the participants to be used in the final season of the work. Because these recordings are a core part of the project’s development, this particular workshop may not be the right fit for those who do not wish to be recorded.
