I will start by starching my fabrics prior to cutting them out.
I find this keeps the stripes and checks straight and makes them easier to work with.

G’day from Australia, Blockheads!
Today we are going to do a little Cross Training. 😄
You can go to the gym and lift weights and do some cardio OR maybe try this weeks Blockheads Block and sew 4 crosses into a square!
What’s your choice? 😂
Either way, you’ll get some Cross Training done.

My blocks are finished so now I really am going to the gym, for a little cross training of the other type. I think I like the sewing one better though 🤭

Meet the Gather & Go Bag.
Gather your hand sewing bits and bobs, in this bag, gather it up and flip the flap over and go!
This bag is made with Summer Solstice toweling and Wovens and once I had made one, I realised it was the perfect bag for my hand appliqué. So I made another one! One to travel around in a trunk show and one for me to use 😃
It’s quick, it’s useful, it has pockets and is the perfect size. 8” w x 4”d x 9” h.
Fabric due in April, the pattern is ready now.

Limoncello Spritz - not just the drink of summer but the table runner from Summer Solstice.
If you’re an appliqué fan then this one is for you. Fused or needle turn appliqué will work, just choose your favourite.

Applique on toweling is a match made in heaven. No stabiliser required because the toweling makes the most perfect background, the weight and texture is ideal.
