Our second edition of the Monday Long Table Dinner 🍽️🍹🥗 returns! Many people reminisce on this night as one of their favourites of the whole event last year. A soul train broke out, wholesome jam circle to make proud, and sooooo much great pizza.

After all the big events and workshops have passed, Monday we settle down for dinner and some soulful funky tunes at . Dinner is share-plate style across a few long tables (actual ones this year!). Grab some food and catch up with old friends and new ones you've just met on the weekend. It's intimate, cozy, and just all around good vibes.

And if you're wanting some new music for a change, don't worry, DJ Ben's got you. He'll be spinning tunes full of soul, groove, and funk for a little break from a weekend of jazz.

There are still a few spaces available if you're keen: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1561476

Before workshops on Monday morning 🌤 we kick off the day with a chat with BDS teachers. We’ll get to learn more about them, what drives and inspires them, and get their hot takes.

AND we’re SUPER excited to be bringing back Mano Wraps! 🥙🌯😋 To keep your belly happy, you can pre-order a special discounted wrap for the Brunch, ready for you at Saltwater for the chat.

Mano Wraps is owned by one of our very own South West dancers, Tracy and her partner Mattia! Their wraps are one of the tastiest (and most popular) things you can eat around Busselton. All wraps are made 100% from scratch using freshly sourced ingredients. The wrap is a beautifully crispy and tender buckwheat crepe, making every wrap naturally GF.

AND because Tracy and Mattia are such legends, you can show your BDS wristband throughout the event to get a 10% discount. Make sure to give them a big ole thank you, the legends.

Brunch Wrap Pre-Orders now open here (available by pre-order only): https://boogiedownsouth.com.au/brunch-wraps

Our one and only late night of the year goes down on Sunday night: Boogie (Late) Night. And returning to take us through it are Jessie Gordon and Mark Turner!

Jessie and Mark have been making music together for more than two decades. Across blues, jazz, soul, and swing, they bring a sound that’s warm, playful, and deeply musical. They make a special kind of magic fully draws you in.

Last year’s late night ended up being one of the most memorable nights of the weekend. Fairy lights overhead, a floor full of socked up feet, people spread out across the room in their own way. Some dancing, some listening right up close, some just taking it all in. Even a few stretching out on yoga mats at the edges.

It had this really grounded, generous feeling to it that left a beautiful and ultra lasting impression.

We’re really looking forward to bringing back Jessie and Mark for another very special late night this year.

Sunday theme reveal: BOOGIE FORWARD (FUTURE)

“The future is bright” ✨

We’ve looked back. We’ve celebrated the present. Now we’re turning forward.

Sunday is the last main social of the weekend, and it’s about imagining what comes next in the future of Lindy Hop. Swing dancing has been around for nearly 100 years. It’s pretty incredible to think about what the next 100 might look like.

The vibe: forward-facing, imaginative, open-ended 🌈

Dress suggestion: your version of “bright”. Think metallics, bold colours, futuristic glamour, or whatever feels like stepping into the future.

📯REMINDER📯 Tee & Hoodie orders close in 2 weeks!

If you’ve had your eye on something, you've got a couple weeks left to grab it. We only carry a handful of extras at the event, so to avoid disappointment (or FOMO tbh), we definitely recommend getting your order in.

This year, we've got your standard Tees and Hoodies plus a new crop top to choose from. Sizes range from XS–3XL and you can find a size guide on our Merch page.

If you’re unsure about hoodie sizing, we recommend sizing up for extra coziness.

🎺 SATURDAY BAND HIGHLIGHT! 🎺 What better way to celebrate a big birthday party than with Oz Big Band!

hardly need an intro - if you dance in WA, chances are you know and love them well. And if you haven't seen em yet, well, you're in for a BIG treat.

Having just celebrated their 40th anniversary, Oz Big Band have been lighting up the WA dance scene since the ’80s, earning a legendary reputation as one of Australia’s most in-demand dance bands. With their unique sound and high-energy performances, they’ve become a staple at iconic swing dance exchanges including Hullabaloo, Canberrang, ALX, and MLX.

Vocal powerhouses Leah Guelfi and Justin Everette bring charisma and soul to the mics, leading the charge through classic swing anthems from the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and more. From the Big Apple to the Shim Sham, this 17-piece big band knows how to “wind it up and let it go”!

We're looking forward to welcoming them back for their 3rd appearance at Boogie Down South this September!
