5 BAD DRINKS FOR SINGERS
πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
1. Cold Drinks.
Avoid any cold drink, cause it affects your muscles when singing that leads to vocal cracks and strain. Your muscles needs to be warm to sing well, so always drink room temperatured water or warm water to help you sing well.

2. Acidic Drinks.
Acidic drinks such as soda, coffee, fruit juice that have acidic citric juice, can cause acidic reflux. Acidic reflux is acid from your stomach that travels to your oesophagus, it can cause your vocal fold to swell, and it will make it hard for you to stay on pitch, sustain notes, and do riffs and runs.

3. Milk Based Drinks.
Hot chocolate, chocolate milk, milk, creates cold and messes with your glucose production, it makes you start coughing when singing and also creates mucus in your throat that cracks your voice.

4. Caffeinated Drinks.
They pull water out of your body, it dehydrates you and makes you urinate allot and that is not good for you as a singer because you need to be hydrated always not dehydrated.

5. Alcoholic Drinks.
Alcohol dehydrates you, allot of alcoholic drinks are carbonated, it will make you feel gassy which is bad for you as a singer.

This last tip is not even good for you as a music minister, and child of God so avoid it totally. Note all of this drinks can be consumed the days you don't have ministration or performance, and we have individual differences as singers so some of the drinks might not affect every singers but some singers.

7 WAYS ON HOW TO SING WITH CONFIDENCE
πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
1. Have the Holy Spirit in you, with Him you will be fearless and he will build confidence in you.
2. Sing more often in front of friends and family members.
3. Know that not everyone will love your voice, so use every negativity against your voice to work more on your excellence.
4. Don't run away from leading songs in church, cause the more you lead, the more it builds your confidence. Though you might make some mistakes, correct yourself and continue leading, don't run from it.
5. Believe in yourself first then others will start believing in you.
6. Practice everyday.
7. Build capacity in the place of prayers and the word of God. πŸ”₯

Have a blessed Sunday

DEAR SINGERS AND INSTRUMENTALIST,
I understand everything happening in the music ministry, some pastors contributed to the suffering we are going through today because of lack of support to our ministry. Many of them don't care about how we feed, how we pay our bills. They even know that some of us are students who loves God and wants to serve him so they take advantage of us, at the end of the day, they will use millions to invite big artists to minister in our various churches and when we come or ask for support, to promote our own music, some of them will tell you that they don't have money, some even deny you from using your own church for programs, very painful. My friends has gone for ministration in another city in Zimbabwe and after the ministration, they told them thank you, hmm they did not have transport, so they had to follow trailer back to there state, it was so painful. Instrumentalist work hard to perfect there craft, many churches don't appreciate them, that's why you see some of them play in the club to earn more money. I am of the opinion to pay Instrumentalist yes, but another question is, did God call you into the music ministry? Is it full time or per time? Cause if God calls you, he will surely pay you, and his pay will be more than what men can do for you. So don't allow pastors and churches to discourage you cause your service is unto God and not men. Plenty people have quoted scriptures out of context just to back up there claims of you must pay Instrumentalist and singers, my conclusion is, if you are working for God allow him to pay you, and if you are working for the church please make sure they pay you well and do well to enjoy your money πŸ’°β€οΈβœŒοΈ

3 SECRETS TO MAKE YOUR VOICE SOUND BETTER
βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…βœ…
1. The β€œInstant Vocal Fix”
This is a quick trick that makes your voice sound better instantly. Say A-E-I-O-U (watch your jaw movement in the mirror). Did your jaw close on any of the vowels? Chances are your jaw closed on the E and the U and most likely on others too, if not all of them. Take your first two fingers and pull your jaw down 2 inches (or even better use a plastic bottle cap or a cork (wine) to prop your jaw open). And speak the vowels again. And repeat again (we’re trying to re-program muscle memory, so the more the better). Now sing the vowels on one pitch. A-E-I-O-U. Your goal is to keep your jaw open (long not wide) without closing for all of your vowels. Repeat until you can do it. Now sing a phrase of one of your songs and make sure your jaw opens to the same position on all of your vowels. You have to practice this a bunch before it becomes natural, but the more you do, the sooner this new movement is programmed into your muscle memory. And, you might be one of those lucky ones who notice the improvement in the sound right away (it will sound louder and more resonant with less vocal strain). If you don’t, don’t sweat it you will. It just takes a little practice. (You might have some unwanted tension in your neck, jaw and throat muscles, try loosening them up and try it again.) The next time you perform open your jaw more on your vowels it’s a quick trick that makes you sound better instantly!

2. More Power without Strain.
Who doesn’t want more power without strain? This is a simple technique to apply and a bit easier than the one above. All you have to do is to keep your chin pointed slightly down and your pectorals slightly flexed (well sometimes it’s a lot flexed) when you go for more power. Most singers reach forward or lift their chin up to sing with more power. While it may temporarily work, it causes vocal problems. Tipping your chin down not only works better and saves your voice, it actually SOUNDS better! Stand in front of the good β€˜ol mirror. Sing an Ah scale up and down in one phrase (1-2-3-4-3-2-1). Press your chin slightly in (point your chin towards the floor) usually only 1” or so. Don’t let your head bob up as you raise the pitch. Keep it firmly in place. Go all the way up the scale of your voice keeping this position. Notice how your chin wants to move up as you raise your pitch. Keep it planted. This will give you more power and control and eliminate strain. Practice it until it becomes natural.

3. Hear Yourself
A good vocal tone is not established by singing loudly, it’s established at medium volume. Good tone happens when vocal muscles are strong enough in their coordination to have a good closure but not touch. Releasing too much air creates a β€œbreathy” tone and releasing too little air creates a β€œnasal” tone. Unless you’re really going for breathy or nasal as a stylistic choice, somewhere right in between the two is a perfect balance. Hearing yourself allows you to really work on your tone at medium volumes.

In summary, the best way to improve your voice is voice lessons with an experienced professional vocal coach who specializes in technique (not just coaching you on your songs.

SHOULD INSTRUMENTALIST BE PAID IN CHURCH?
Did the bible not say we should put kingdom first? Do you as an instrumentalist go for soul winning? Why are some focused more on the money more than the souls? Am not against paying instrumentalist take note, before you start saying some odd things, but let's get it right. Let's not come and use God's work for business, there is a difference when God blesses and reward you and when you are being placed on church salary for peanuts.
If only we all worshipped in knowledge. If we pay instrumentalists then so should we pay Vocals, intercessors, directors too. Lets find God and win souls with our gifts. Read Mathew 6:33
