Carnot Skynetyzia’s Legacy Playlist Vanishes from Audiomack
Music— In a shocking turn for the Zimbabwean music scene, a massive portion of the Skynet Empire Worldwide catalog has reportedly gone missing from Audiomack. The disappearance includes the foundational "legacy playlist" of Carnot Skynetyzia, the producer and visionary behind much of the Skynet Yzia Empire Worldwide success.
The missing content spans several years (almost a decade) of award-winning production and era-defining projects. Among the vanished titles are:
- The Diary of a Hustler 1, 2, 3.
- The Seskhona Album ft Fab G & Sidex Pressure Zero (with Chief Chiraz)
- Bhama Ramambokadzi (with Queen Raindrop)
* Planet Carnot Love Songs Mixtape - Volume One.
* Fundukulinda Album
* a bunch of other albums, eps and singles by Skynet Empire
These works were instrumental in propelling both Carnot Skynetyzia and the Skynet Empire Worldwide brand into the international spotlight. For fans and archivists, the sudden absence of these tracks marks a significant hole in the digital history of local urban music.
History Repeating Itself?
This is not the first time the Skynet brand has seen a massive digital footprint disappear. In 2017, the then-dominant Skynet Yzia Magazine (now Skynet Empire Worldwide Magazine) famously pulled down its website. At its peak, the platform boasted over half a million readers and was a primary hub for Zimbabwean artist promotion. It's publications included most of the articles, song reviews, and posts that promoted local artists and catapulted most of them into stardom.
The reason for the current Audiomack disappearance remains unclear. Whether this is a strategic move by management, a technical glitch, or a licensing shift, the "missing legacy" has left the community wondering if and when these award-winning sounds will return to the ears of the public.
