UNTITLED

By Mambo Gurundoro✍️✍️✍️

They are taught to do everything for men from toddlership,

the lessons are given by a mother already abusing the father

Some come from the auntie who already left a husband for a boyfriend

The grandmothers only speak about how strong they were all these years and how ungrateful the grandfather was...

The girl child is not vulnerable, she is taught to be vulnerable from birth, the father only has to provide but has no say in a girl's life...

The real life stories experienced by a boy ,is sold for the girl for many years, she is taught to nature a baby but never taught about the pregnancy...

She is taught to date a successful boyfriend but never self esteem, self valuation, but ready to be judged

Vulnerability for a girl child is taught everywhere even the school system is full of making sure the girl child feels vulnerable amongst boys

Beyond the Shadows

By Mimie Gold

Shattered Lives
In shadows, a silent scream echoes through the night
A cry for help, a desperate plight
GBV's dark grasp, a suffocating hold
Leaving scars that never heal, stories untold

Exploitation's cruel hand, a manipulative game
Power and control, a toxic aim
Emotional, mental, physical pain
A never-ending cycle, a life in vain

The roots run deep, a complex web
Patriarchy, inequality, a toxic step
Societal norms, a perpetuating sin
A culture of silence, a deadly spin

But there is hope, a way to break free
Education, awareness, a key to see
The value of consent, respect, and equality
A world where GBV is not the reality

Let's stand together, united we stand
Supporting survivors, hand in hand
Providing resources, a safe space to heal
Empowering women, a future to reveal

The effects are far-reaching, a ripple in the pond
Affecting families, communities, beyond
But with each step forward, we pave the way
For a world where GBV is a distant memory, gone astray

Let's raise our voices, a collective cry
Demanding change, a world where GBV dies
Let's create a future, bright and bold
Where every life is valued, respected, and told.

REWARD OF MAN

By Tanyaradzwa Vimbai Mombeshora

How do you fare
With the world on your shoulders?
Created after the Creator's image
Yet you are but human.

Them boys do not cry
We chanted it in playgrounds
Catch the alpha
He provides better our foremothers advised.

But you cry in the inside
Buried deeper than a grave
You grow weary of being the top catch
You are flesh and bone
You need a rock to stand firm on
No woman will give you a resting shoulder
She gives you no helping hand
Your friends are also in the game of pretense
As though you can all do it alone.

But a man needs a family
To procreate what his Creator created
Lest his forefathers frown their faces
Upon extinction,
What was meant to a source of joy
Like well full of life
Has become billing after bills
So you till the drought until it
Overflows like a river
Mine the land until dust becomes gold
Give it all
So family sleeps with bellies full
Yet they see you less and love you even less
Them who were yours by choice
Have you question your choice.

You cannot payback an insult
For it is unbecoming of a grown man
Of what use are you if you cannot provide?
Men are like dogs, they say, train them
How to behave,
You sit and take it,
Sure no pressure,
You will prove them wrong you say,
They respect the best and you vow
To be the greatest.

Tell me, boy become man
Did you ever catch that shooting star
You landed on the moon
You built bridges with your engineering
You gave us wings in aeroplanes
You turned your vision
Into today,
And yet....

No one hears you when cry
No one sees you when you hurt
No one feels you when you love
You bury loneliness in swaggering cool,
What then is your reward, my man

Spirituality in African Culture
In ancient lands, where ancestors roam
Spirituality weaves, a sacred tone
Connecting us to earth, to sky, to sea
A continuum of life, wild and free

Through rituals, dances, and sacred songs
We honor the divine, where our roots belong
In every heartbeat, a spiritual beat
Guiding us forward, to our highest seat

With reverence for nature, we live in harmony
Respecting the land, our ancestors' legacy
In every moment, a chance to align
With the cosmos, our spirits entwined

In the rhythm of life, we find our way
Through the whispers of our ancestors' day
Their wisdom guides us, through life's ebb and flow
As we journey on, our spirits aglow

*Lessons in Pain*
*-by*
*Mimie Gold*

Betrayal's sting, a wound so deep
Fake love's disguise, a heart that sleeps
Deception's web, a tangled fate
A relationship's facade, a truth to await

Lies whispered, a gentle breeze
A poisoned rose, with thorns that freeze
Unsettled nights, a restless soul
A heart that's broken, with trust that's cold

But in the darkness, I found a light
A lesson learned, a newfound sight
To shield my heart, to guard with care
To discern the truth, to show I dare

The memories linger, a bittersweet pain
A reminder of love's fleeting game
Yet, I'm stronger, wiser, and free
A phoenix risen, from the ashes of me

Through the storm, I've weathered the night
And though the scars remain, I've gained new light
A heart that's bold, a spirit that's bright
A story told, of love, loss, and fight.

*The Unsung Heroes*
*-By*
*Mimie Gold* ( tribute to my mom VaChifedza)

A mother's love, a father's care,
You embody both, with strength so rare.
Single-handedly, you lead the way,
A pillar of strength, day by day.

With gentle touch and guiding hand,
You nurture, protect, and take a stand.
You work, you strive, you sacrifice too,
For the well-being of your children, through and through.

Your role is multifaceted, a balancing act,
Providing, teaching, and giving fact.
You show up strong, through every test,
A beacon of hope, and a loving nest.

Your children look up to you with pride,
Grateful for your love, and the sacrifices you've made inside.
You are their rock, their shelter, and their guide,
A single mother, with a heart full of pride.

We celebrate you, your strength and might,
A true heroine, shining with love and light.
Happy tribute to single mothers everywhere,
Your love and dedication, beyond compare!

It's World Music Day today. Time to talk about old songs and new songs.

Old songs are

Evergreen and we sing along with the tune. All songs had a Classical Touch and are remembered even today.

New songs are

All remakes and make no sense and are just made to fill people's pockets. They will remake a Classic song into a boring version and compare themselves with the original singers thinking that they have created a masterpiece. But in reality they just edit words here and there and make it official with their names and generate Revenues from it. Not a single song in the present day is remembered by even the Youths of any Country because there is no fruitful outcome of that. It's just a loop where they want to show that they also exist somewhere in the corner.

Still awake? It's time for .

I used to think life would never treat me well and

When I look around me things are so scary that if I were in their place I would have become mad and ran away somewhere far. But people are struggling their way through all the pain and suffering and still trying to live a normal life. There is too much chaos in the world and to still be happy with what you have and come back home safely without fighting or abusing anyone or getting yourself abused is a blessing in itself.

Secondly marriage for men has become a joke. Before women were not safe. But in today's date men are not safe either because they don't know when their wives will kill them for what reason and run away with another man. So even the men are scared of marriages now. So why can't we just cut it short and be single. If we have to die anyways then die peacefully. Why so much chaos and drama for no reason and creating an unnecessary panic situation between families. Let them also live in peace.

My conclusion is best not to commit anyone for marriage and if they are forcing you means you should understand that something is wrong in the loop.
