In 2023–2024 HIVOs program “Rebuilding Creative Spaces and Expression for Marginalised Creatives in the Matabeleland Region, Shangano Arts Trust facilitated creative expression at Makwa Primary School. Learners staged a compelling drama on child abuse written by Penpusher , which was well received by the school community.

In continued support, Shangano Arts Trust is funding full Term 3 school fees for 10 marginalised female learners at the school.

This intervention underscores our organizational commitment to building communities through Arts.

We acknowledge and thank Mantate Queeneth Mlotshwa , a long-standing partner for Shangano Arts Trust, for her contribution toward the payment of school fees.

.Shangano Arts Trust held an impactful workshop at Mabinga Primary School yesterday, addressing drug and substance abuse, early teenage pregnancies, and digital gender based violence. We appreciate the support from the Nyaradzo Group , the Ward 10 Councillor, and Mr Dube from the Health Care Department, who all played a key role in the event’s success.

Shangano Arts Trust is one of the Organization with young people who received training from CNRG and the Hwange Youth Empowerment Initiative in Youth Digital Democracy. The program has empowered Hwange youth to advocate on issues of mining, land, and water, ensuring their input is considered in local council decisions.
After all, whoever controls the narrative influences the policy.

He served as a dedicated actor and a valued member of Shangano Arts Trust for many years.
