.Shangano Arts Trust held an impactful workshop at Mabinga Primary School yesterday, addressing drug and substance abuse, early teenage pregnancies, and digital gender based violence. We appreciate the support from the Nyaradzo Group , the Ward 10 Councillor, and Mr Dube from the Health Care Department, who all played a key role in the event’s success.

Shangano Arts Trust is one of the Organization with young people who received training from CNRG and the Hwange Youth Empowerment Initiative in Youth Digital Democracy. The program has empowered Hwange youth to advocate on issues of mining, land, and water, ensuring their input is considered in local council decisions.
After all, whoever controls the narrative influences the policy.

Today, we celebrate the power of poetry to inspire, educate, and transform. At Shangano Arts Trust, poetry is at the heart of our community engagement efforts. As we mark this year's theme, "Poetry as a Bridge for Peace and Inclusion", we're reminded of the impact of words in driving social change.

Through poetry, we've broken silences on GBV, promoted climate action, addressed conservation education, and brought awareness to human-wildlife conflicts affecting our communities.
