Amon Mwareka (1950 - 1992) was a First Generation Zimbabwean sculptor.

Born in Nyanga and educated at a Mission School, Amon Mwareka started modeling clay as a hobby. He met Frank McEwan at Vukutu in 1969 when he was working there as a builder’s assistant, and was inspired to try sculpting stone.

His work abounds with feeling and is full of life and vigour. Amon had his first one-man exhibition in 1985.
