The group is known as Heavenly Praises Chorus and was founded in 2012. Its comprised of at least 80 choristers from different church denominations (in and outside Harare). Members are mainly young people of school going age, school leavers and also adults who give direction and guidance to the young people. The choir is not aligned to any political party or religious denomination. The committee an

d the choir performances reflect the commitment of the choir to issues relevant to the local and national community, which are concerned with equality, humanity and respect and which celebrate the rich diversity of our local and national community. We sing at events such as National and State Events, Corporate Functions, Weddings, Funerals, Church gatherings etc

HPC qualified to participate in the Old Mutual Choral Music Competitions in SA from 2013 up to date and we have raised the Zimbabwean flag since then. We have a management team that runs the affairs of the group as directed by the HPC Constitution and code of conduct which are critical instruments for the running of the group. Our Core Values are:

TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, EQUALITY, INTRGRITY, HONESTY, JUSTICE AND UBUNTU

We are very much willing to partner any potential corporate sponsors through synergies that can enhance their brand equity and market share.

Coming in as defending champions for the Northern Region (Harare) and now crowned National Champs, the choir’s latest win cements their reputation as a force in Zimbabwe’s choral music scene.

Founded in Mufakose, Heavenly Praises Chorus is not tied to a single denomination but instead draws its members from across different communities.
