The year 2026 may well be the only year in which 2 mbira books by two currently practicing and gifted Zimbabwean mbira exponents published in the same year.

Congratulations to Hope Masike - "Mbira Mberi - For God so loved Zimbabwe that he gave it Mbira" ISBN 978-1-1-77932-410-8 and, Othnell Moyo "MATEPE, Book1 - A Thunderstorm in the Deze, Echo of the Ancestors" - ISBN 978-1-77932-505-1.

May these two Gwenyambiras inspire others in Zimbabwe's mbira fraternity to add their contributions to mbira scholarship.

The two book are a significant addition to mbira heritage. Buy a copy. Great additions to your bookshelf. You won't be disappointed.

Please share far and Wide!🙏🏾
