Nobert Mafumhe Mutasa was born on the 15th of February 1947 at Cheninga village in Gutu district.

He did his academics at Kutama Mission. Mutasa's first book Mapatya was published in 1978. It was written 1963 when the author was still in form 2.

Mutasa was a renowned writer and administrator par excellence, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Shurugwi Town Council and later on joined Josiah Magama Tongogara Rural District Council in the same capacity.
Mutasa penned eleven books including the old world trilogy Mapatya, Nhume yaMambo and Misodzi Dikita Neropa. His books were popular as Shona literature study material in schools. His other publications are Chikara Chehasha, Dziva Renjuzu, Runako Munjodzi, Hondo Huru, Benzi Ritsiudze Rodzoka.

Mutasa's last book was Dangerous Journey published by ZPH in the year 2000.

He built his rural empire and the construction comprised of a downstairs dinning, lounge and office the whole infrastructure was marvelously splashed with the national flag colours. Some people referred to it as a rainbow compound.

*1. Preamble*

Irikuvanga Mbizi is a Trust Institution premised on the inspiration of *N. M Mutasa's* Legacy namely book writing. It is of paramount importance for our audience to know that N. M Mutasa's toterm was Tembo which is Dube / Mbizi N.M Mutasa's children are talented in the Arts Industry, and therefore the Trust is aimed at ensuring that the legacy of this iconic writer is kept alive and becomes a dynasty in all generations to come through the works of his children.

2. *Main Objectives*

Irikuwanga Mbizi Trust is therefore aimed at:

a) ensuring that all the works done by NM Mutasa's children in the Art Industry are harnessed and packaged into vibrant brands in order to penatrate the market.

b) Ensure that books written under the Irikuvanga Mbizi banner is of quality material before they are published.

c) Promoting young talent in the Arts industry regardless of whether they belong to the Mutasa family or not.

d) Encouraging young people in the Art Industry to show case their talents in a more structured manner.

e). To assist young people in identifying their talents within the art industry and help them develop their works to maturity.
