*Title: Deaf Prince*
*Genre*: Historical Drama / Thriller
*Logline*:
In an ancient kingdom where only the “strong” may rule, a king’s greatest shame becomes his greatest war when the royal council plots to kill his newborn deaf son to secure the throne.
*Synopsis*:
King ruled the highlands with iron and tradition. His word was law, and his council — 7 elders who believed the throne demanded a perfect heir — kept him in check. The kingdom feared weakness. Deafness was called “a curse from the ancestors.”
When Queen gave birth to a healthy baby boy, the drums of celebration died fast. The child did not cry at thunder. He did not startle at war horns. The royal healer confirmed it: the prince could not hear.
Before the naming ceremony, the King’s Committee met in secret. To them, a deaf king meant invasion, ridicule, and collapse. “Mercy is treason,” said the Prime Elder. They decreed the baby must be “sent to the ancestors” before moonrise. Tradition demanded it. Power required it.
But King Adom faced an impossible choice: obey the council that raised him, or defy 300 years of law to protect the son he loved in silence. As guards were ordered and the queen was locked away, the king had one night to decide what kind of ruler — and father — he would be.
What followed was not a battle of swords, but a battle of beliefs. The king taught himself his son’s language of hands and eyes. He showed the council that strength isn’t hearing the war drums… it’s standing still when everyone runs.
*Deaf Prince* is a story about power, prejudice, and a father’s love that refuses to whisper. In the end, the kingdom must decide: will they kill the baby to save the throne, or will the baby save the kingdom by changing what it means to be king?
*Themes*: Disability & dignity, tradition vs compassion, the cost of power, redefining strength.
