Congratulations to Major General Humphrey Nyone of Zambia, who was appointed Force Commander of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) this week.

The United States commends the Zambia Defense Force’s essential contributions to regional peace and security. Through professional, effective, and disciplined peacekeeping efforts, Zambia’s security forces continue to set a strong example in the region.
