TRIBUTE PRESENTED BY FLYING SAINT ENGLISH CHOIR TODAY AS WE SAID OUR FINAL GOODBYE TO CLEMENT KANGWA (CK)
On behalf of the Flying Saint English Choir, I stand before you with tears and a broken heart.
We have not just lost a choir member, we have lost a brother, a son, a friend... we have lost our CK.
Clement was a very jovial person. Everyone who knew him will agree with me. He never had an enemy. His heart was too pure to hate anyone. He carried a smile that could light up the whole church, a laugh that made even a sad day feel okay.
He loved singing more than anything. For many of us, choir is just choir - but for CK, Flying Saint English Choir was his second home. This was his family. This is where he belonged. He gave his time, his energy, his voice, and his love to this choir without holding anything back.
Look around us today... look at this big gathering. This is not just a crowd. This is love. This is proof of the kind of person CK was. And I believe you can all agree with me on this one - CK was loved, truly loved.
It hurts to say goodbye. It really hurts. How do we sing without you, CK? Who will make us laugh like you used to?
Today we weep on earth because we have lost you, but heaven has gained. Heaven has gained a beautiful voice, a beautiful soul. The angels have welcomed one of our best singers.
CK, go well. Sing for us there. We will keep your place in the choir, and we will keep your memory in our hearts forever.
We love you, but God loves you more.
in Eternal Peace, our dear CK.
we meet again.
