Due to the deteriorating state of the road, Likili Motorways has made the difficult decision to suspend our services to Ikelenge, effective immediately. Despite our best efforts to maintain operations, the road conditions have worsened, making it unsafe for our passengers and vehicles.

The overloading situation is largely a result of greed, as transport operators prioritize profit over passenger safety. They sell tickets without regard for the comfort or safety of passengers, and desperate individuals are often allowed to board despite the risks. However, a more significant contributing factor is the poor state of the roads, which limits the number of vehicles available for transportation. If the roads were improved, more buses could operate, reducing the pressure on existing services.

I urge transport operators to prioritize people's safety and well-being over financial gain. It's time to put human life above profit and work towards creating a safer transportation system. We owe it to ourselves and our community to prevent further tragedies.
