Owning a CBR1000RR is a dream, but nobody really talks about the pressure that comes with owning a machine like this. π₯ΊποΈβ€οΈ The breakdowns, the stress, the unexpected expenses, and those painful moments when the machine you love and have invested so much in suddenly leaves you stranded far from home. π
I was having a peaceful ride from Lusaka, heading back home to Monze, enjoying the road with Beast. ποΈπ¨ Everything was going perfectly until suddenlyβ¦ Beast just died on me. ππ
For a moment, I thought I had run out of fuel. I opened the tank and checked, but there was still fuel. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked. There I was, standing on the roadside beside Beast, confused and frustrated, wondering what had gone wrong and how I was going to get my machine back home. πποΈ
Then, out of nowhere, this man appeared on his old motorcycle. β€οΈ He could have simply passed me and continued with his journey like many others would have, but he chose to stop. He looked at me and asked, βWhatβs the problem, Mr?β ππΎ
That simple question meant more than he probably realized.
He stayed with me and tried to see if there was anything he could do to help. Unfortunately, we couldn't get Beast running again. But even then, he didn't just leave me there. He stayed and helped until we managed to get Beast into a van. π₯ΊππΎβ€οΈ
He may not have managed to put Beast back on the road, but that day reminded me that helping someone isn't always about fixing their problem. Sometimes it's simply about stopping. Showing concern. Giving your time. And reminding someone that they are not alone when things aren't going their way. β€οΈβπ©Ήπ€πΎ
Look at our motorcycles. His may be old and mine may be a CBR1000RR, but at that moment none of that mattered. Big bike or small bike, old machine or new machineβ¦ a biker's heart will never be measured by CCs. ποΈπ€πΎβ€οΈ
I may eventually forget some of the frustration I felt when Beast broke down that day, but I don't think I'll forget the stranger who saw a fellow rider stranded on the roadside and chose to stop. π₯Ίβ€οΈππΎ
Sometimes the road doesn't only give us beautiful rides and destinations. Sometimes it introduces us to beautiful souls. β€οΈποΈ
Respect, brother. ππΎ Wherever the road takes you, may someone also stop for you on the day you need it most. β€οΈπ€πΎποΈ
