CHINESE EMPLOYER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED S*XUAL ABUSE OF DOMESTIC WORKERS IN KITWE

Police in Kitwe have arrested a 50-year-old Chinese national, Chan Lim, employed at a local fisheries company in Garnerton, for alleged unnatural offenses contrary to Section 155(a) of the Penal Code.

The suspect was detained following a report filed at Mindolo Police Station on January 24, 2025, by two domestic workers who claim they were forced to perform s*xual acts on their employer against their will.

According to police reports, the incidents allegedly occurred between December 27, 2024, and January 22, 2025, at a fish processing company in Garnerton.

The victims, aged 20 and 19, alleged that they were taken to separate rooms and forced to massage their employer's ge****ls and perform oral s*x until ej*******on.

It is further alleged that the suspect, along with another individual who is currently out of the country, coerced the two women into engaging in these acts against their will.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba stated that the matter came to light after the victims lodged a complaint with the Labour Office, subsequently reported the case to police, and provided photographic evidence to support their claims.

Police have confirmed the arrest of the suspect and stated that investigations are ongoing.

WHY DO MEN LOVE S*X So MUCH

Let me ask you something nobody wants to answer honestly…
Why do men think about s*x SO MUCH?

S*x for fish report is old story - Luangwa Town Council

LUANGWA Town Council has clarified that the story circulating online of Luangwa lodges facing Inspections over concerns relating to s*x in exchange for fish is an old report and it was already addressed.

Yesterday a named media publication published a story of lodges in Luangwa being investigated for operating as brothels and women allegedly exchanging s*x for fish in the same premises.

According to Luangwa Town Council Public Relations Officer Annedy Longwe, the story circulating online is an old report relating to matters that were already addressed at the time.

"The reported situation is not currently taking place in Luangwa District," Longwe said.

Longwe further urged members of the public to desist from recirculating the old information, because doing so may create unnecessary concern and give a misleading impression of the current situation in the district.

He said Luangwa Town Council remains committed to providing the public with accurate and timely information on matters concerning the district.

DOMESTIC PRESSURE LINKED TO RISING SU***DE AMONG MEN

A concerned woman from Chikolonto area in Gwembe District, Mutinta Mweemba has attributed the reported increase in su***de among men to emotional and domestic pressures allegedly exerted by women.

Ms. Mweemba says many men are suffering silently in their homes due to what she describes as victimisation, unrealistic expectations and pressure from their wives or partners.

Speaking during Chikuni Radio’s Tuesday Breakfast Show, Ms. Mweemba observed that some men are being pushed to do things beyond their financial means in an effort to meet household demands and expectations.

She said the pressure can leave men feeling overwhelmed, especially when they are unable to provide what is expected of them yet have limited opportunities to openly discuss their struggles.

Ms. Mweemba has since called for greater understanding and communication between couples, saying both men and women should create supportive environments where challenges can be discussed without fear of ridicule, blame or humiliation.

She further urged families, churches, community leaders and other stakeholders to pay attention to men who may be experiencing emotional distress and encourage them to seek help before their situations become critical.

She stressed that su***de should not be viewed simply as an individual problem but as an issue requiring collective attention, particularly through strengthening family support systems and promoting open conversations about mental and emotional wellbeing.

MAN ARRESTED FOR S*XUALLY ABUSING NIECE, 13

A 57-year-old man of Siachitema chiefdom in Kalomo has been arrested for allegedly s*xually abusing his 13-year-old niece who is now four months pregnant.

Facts indicate that in March 2026, the suspect who resides in the same village called the victim into his house at a time when her parents and siblings were not home and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

He instructed her not to disclose the matter to anyone and allegedly continued to have unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim whenever her parents were away.

On 7th September, 2026, the victim's mother noticed physical body changes on her daughter and took her to the nearest clinic, where she tested positive for pregnancy.

When questioned, the victim identified her uncle as the person responsible.

Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Moono Namalongo, has since condemned all forms of s*xual violence against children, further reaffirming commitment to ensuring perpetrators are brought to justice.

UNCLE ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED DEFILEMENT OF 13-YEAR-OLD NIECE IN KALOMO

Police in Kalomo are investigating a case of in**st involving a 13-year-old girl of Andeleki Village in Chief Siachitema’s area.

The matter was reported at Kalomo Police Station on September 7th by the girl’s 39-year-old father, who alleged that his 57-year-old brother had defiled his daughter.

Southern Province Police Commanding Officer, Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident to NCR News that the suspect allegedly started abusing the girl in March 2026 whenever her parents were away and warned her not to tell anyone.

Mr. Namongo adds that the matter came to light after the girl’s mother noticed physical changes and took her to a clinic, where she was found to be about four months pregnant, leading her to identify her uncle as the alleged perpetrator.

He says a medical report form has been issued, a docket opened, and the suspect has been arrested and remains in custody pending court appearance.

UNCLE ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED DEFILEMENT AND IMPREGNATING A 13-YEAR-OLD NIECE IN KALOMO

September 8, 2026 – The Zambia Police Service in Kalomo District is investigating a case of in**st involving a 13-year-old female juvenile of Andeleki Village, Chief Siachitema, Kalomo District.

The matter was reported at Kalomo Police Station on September 7, 2026, at 16:00 hours by her father, aged 39, of the same village. He reported that his daughter had allegedly been defiled by her paternal uncle, aged 57, of the same abode.

Brief facts of the matter are that in March 2026, the suspect, who is the younger brother of the victim's father and resides in the same village, called the victim into his house at a time when her parents and siblings were not home and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. He instructed her not to disclose the matter to anyone. From March 2026 onwards, the suspect allegedly continued to have unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim whenever her parents were away. On September 3, 2026, the victim's mother noticed physical body changes on her daughter and took her to the nearest clinic, where she tested positive for pregnancy, with a suspected gestation of four months. Upon being questioned, the victim identified the suspect as the person responsible.

A medical report form was issued to the victim and a case docket has been opened. The suspect has been apprehended and remains in custody pending court appearance.

The Zambia Police Service strongly condemns all forms of s*xual violence against children and reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes are brought to justice. Parents and guardians are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspected abuse without delay.

NORTH WEST EDUCATION DEPARTMENT CONDEMNS LEARNER’S ALLEGED MISCONDUCT TOWARDS TEACHER

NORTH WEST – The North West Department of Education has condemned the behaviour of a learner who was captured on video allegedly swearing at a teacher at a school in the province.

Department spokesperson Dr Elias Malindi said discipline remains a critical part of the schooling environment and learners should attend school primarily to learn and respect educators.

Malindi called on parents, guardians and civil society to work together with schools in promoting positive behaviour and restoring discipline among learners.

The department said incidents of misconduct undermine the teaching and learning environment and must be addressed to ensure schools remain safe spaces for both learners and teachers.
