ALL illegal Kisasa Market structures have been demolished and a facelift is earmarked. Many are now suggesting that once renovated, Kisasa Market should be named after Eneless Hellen Kamutumbe, the 46-year-old mother of six that was brutally murdered there, by a mob.

What's your view on this matter and propositions being made to rename the Market after the now buried Hellen?

Kanyama Ward 13 Councillor Donates 70 Coffins to Support Families in Need

Hon. Leonard Chello the councillor for Kanyama Ward 13, has bought 70 coffins for residents of the ward.

Chello said the donation is meant to ease the burden on families facing the loss of a loved one. He explained that funeral costs can be overwhelming for many households, and the coffins are intended to provide immediate help to those who cannot afford one.

He encouraged anyone in the ward who needs assistance with burial arrangements to visit his office, noting that the coffins are available at no charge to residents who are in need.

The gesture has been framed as part of his ongoing commitment to supporting the welfare of people in Kanyama.
