You can be healing and still feel like everything hurts. You can be doing all the right things—going to therapy, setting boundaries, trying to stay present—and still wake up with that heavy, unshakable sadness.

Just because it still hurts doesn’t mean you’re not healing.

You carry both—the pain and the progress. You might feel stronger one minute and completely lost the next. That’s not failure, that’s part of it. Healing isn’t about feeling good all the time; it’s about learning how to keep going, even when it hurts. Some days the tools you’ve learned will help, and other days they might barely scratch the surface. But you’re still trying. And that effort, that choice to keep showing up for yourself, even when it’s hard—that’s what healing really looks like.

If someone really cares about you, they care about how their actions affect you and how they make you feel.

They don’t just think about what they want or what is convenient for them, they consider your feelings, too. they pay attention to your emotions, see things from your perspective, and try to understand why you feel the way you do.

They don’t brush off your concerns or act like your problems don’t matter. they don’t make you feel like a burden for opening up. instead, they create a safe space where you feel comfortable being vulnerable. and even if they don’t always agree with you, they still respect your emotions and make an effort to be considerate.

Because if someone truly cares, you won’t have to constantly wonder how much you matter to them. you’ll feel it in the way they treat you. and they will never make you feel like you’re too much for having emotions.
