Congratulations to everyone who received the most reactions!
If your name is on the list, please inbox me before the end of tomorrow to confirm your participation.
If you personally know any of the shortlisted participants, please tag or mention them in the comments so they don’t miss this announcement.
Now it’s time for the next phase: The Monologue Challenge.
Each shortlisted actor will be required to record a self-tape performing a provided monologue. Once all submissions are received, the videos will be posted on this page.
The actor whose video receives the highest number of reactions will be declared the winner and earn the opportunity to feature in a MR COSMAS NG'ANDWE production featuring Kanayo O Kanayo
Note: You are encouraged to invite your friends and supporters to react. Feel free to tag or mention them under your video.
Good luck to everyone moving on to the next stage. Give us a performance we’ll never forget.
MONOLOGUE…
Do you know what pain is?
Not the kind that comes from a broken bone or a cut on your skin. Those heal. I’m talking about the kind that settles inside you. The kind that learns your name. The kind that moves into your chest and refuses to leave. Smiling when people ask if you’re okay because you’re too tired to explain that you’re not. Carrying memories that weigh more than your body. Watching everyone move forward while you stand in the same place, trapped between what is and what should have been. That pain, that’s the worst kind of pain.
Self-Tape Guidelines:
* Record your self-tape in landscape (horizontal) format.
* Begin by introducing yourself with your:
* Full name
* Age
* Place of residence
* Ensure your audio is clear and free from background noise.
* Record in a well-lit area with a plain, uncluttered background where possible.
* Make sure your video quality is clear, with your face fully visible throughout the performance.
* Perform the monologue naturally and avoid using filters, music or special effects.
*The framing should be a close up.
Deadline: Sunday 19th July.
