TWO MONTHS WITHOUT MAMA ποΈβ€οΈ
Today marks exactly two months since I lost my mother, Josephine Mayufe Changwe.
Two months⦠and somehow, it still feels like yesterday.
These have been some of the roughest days I have ever experienced. Grief has a way of changing you, of making you pause and see life differently. But through it all, I can only testify to the grace of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. I believe that, as a family and as individuals, we will continue to find strength and comfort in God.
Ten days after Mama passed, I stood on stage and performed this piece in her honour.
Looking back, I can honestly say that comedy has been therapy for me. It has helped me process pain, breathe through difficult moments and, somehow, find a reason to smile again. And I know I am not the only one. I have seen how laughter and comedy can bring healing, even in the midst of difficult seasons.
Mama, continue resting in peace. ποΈ
Until we meet again, I promise you that we will continue carrying your legacy β a legacy of Prayer, a legacy of Love, and a legacy of confidence, courage and boldness.
This performance is for you, Mama. β€οΈ
To every person who stood with my family and me during this difficult period β thank you.
To every friend, every relative, every stranger, and everyone who supported us financially, spiritually, emotionally, through a message, a phone call, a visit, a prayer or simply by being there β we are deeply grateful.
Epashili pa Kuleka. ππΎ
May we never underestimate the power of showing love and standing with people in their moments of need. And not only when tragedy strikes, but even in ordinary times.
Let Love lead. β€οΈ
Thank you for walking with us through this season.
Please watch the performance, share it, and if it speaks to you, pass it on. May it bring a little laughter, healing and hope to someone who needs it today.
Rest well, Mama.
Until we meet again. ποΈβ€οΈ
