PASTOR CHISHIMBA MALIWASA ENCOURAGES PROFESSIONAL USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Pastor Chishimba has encouraged individuals, especially graduates and professionals, to use social media as a tool for personal branding and career advancement rather than limiting their online presence to casual content.

Reflecting on opportunities that followed her recent post about graduating with distinction and pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Pastor Chishimba said showcasing achievements can create valuable professional connections. She noted that social media often serves as a “visual CV,” allowing employers, recruiters, and other stakeholders to learn about an individual’s skills, qualifications, and accomplishments.

She further shared that her social media presence played a role in securing past opportunities, including a scholarship sponsored by the European Union, stressing that people should not allow fear or excessive modesty to prevent them from highlighting their achievements and talents.

Pastor Chishimba urged people to use available platforms wisely, describing social media as one of the most effective tools for positioning oneself in today’s competitive world.

BISHOP CHISENGA URGES MEN TO REFLECT CAREFULLY ON VASECTOMY DECISIONS

Glorious Bible Church Overseer Bishop Benson Chisenga has urged men to carefully examine their motives before choosing vasectomy, following reports that Chipata Level One Hospital has recorded 132 procedures since the service was introduced last year.

Speaking to RCV News, Bishop Chisenga said family planning decisions should be guided by faith, wisdom, and responsible parenthood. He emphasized that while the Bible does not directly address vasectomy, Christians should ensure such decisions are not driven by a desire to avoid family responsibilities or view children as a burden.

KLINGS KANGWA CROWNED ISRAELI PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Zambian international Klings Kangwa has been named the 2025/26 Israeli Premier League Player of the Season after a remarkable campaign with Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

Kangwa beat fellow nominees Yarden Shua, Omer Atzili and Dor Peretz to claim one of the highest individual honours in Israeli football, reportedly securing 54 percent of the overall vote.

The Chipolopolo midfielder was instrumental in Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s title-winning season, finishing the league campaign with 12 goals and 9 assists, contributing directly to 21 league goals from midfield. His performances helped guide the club to the Israeli Premier League championship.

Beyond the goals and assists, Kangwa established himself as one of the league’s most influential players. He created 75 scoring chances, the second-highest total in the division, completed 52 successful dribbles, the most in the league, and maintained an impressive 87.8 percent passing accuracy. He also recorded 11 goals and 8 assists at the time of the award nominations while playing 2,665 league minutes and contributing to 26 percent of his team’s league goals.

The award caps off a historic rise for the former Buildcon FC and Red Star Belgrade midfielder, who has become one of Zambia’s most successful football exports and one of the standout performers in Israeli football.

Pastor Bruce Msidi has encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in declaring God’s promises over their lives, even when others view such faith-filled declarations as unrealistic or boastful.

In a recent message, Pastor Msidi said believers should not be discouraged by criticism when they speak in line with God’s Word. He noted that many things declared by faith may appear impossible before they come to pass, but faith is not based on present circumstances.

According to Pastor Msidi, faith speaks according to what God has said rather than what is currently visible. He urged believers to continue confessing the Word of God, trusting His promises, and walking boldly in faith regardless of public opinion.

“Sometimes what people call ‘showing off’ is simply someone refusing to speak beneath what God has promised them,” Pastor Msidi said.

The pastor emphasized that Christians should not allow the opinions of others to silence their conviction, but should remain confident in God’s promises as they await their manifestation.

Botswana President Duma Boko Calls for Peaceful Endings to Failed Relationships, Condemns Gender-Based Violence

Duma Boko has urged people to leave broken relationships peacefully rather than remain in unhappy marriages or resort to violence.

Speaking during a public address, President Boko said society often places unrealistic expectations on couples and should not be surprised when some relationships fail. He emphasized that when one partner no longer wishes to continue a relationship, the situation should be handled with maturity and respect rather than conflict.

Boko noted that no individual is entitled to another person simply because they believe they are the “best thing” to happen to them, stressing that relationships should be built on mutual choice rather than obligation.

The Botswana leader also strongly condemned gender-based violence, saying disagreements between partners should never lead to abuse, revenge, or public humiliation. He encouraged individuals to “close the chapter and open another one” peacefully when relationships no longer work.

In a lighter moment, Boko joked about allegedly receiving threats from some men’s groups following his previous comments on relationships. However, he maintained that acts of kindness and generosity in relationships should not come with expectations of ownership or control.

STEVE HARVEY SAYS AVOIDING HOLLYWOOD’S PARTY CULTURE HELPED PROTECT HIS BRAND

Veteran comedian, television host, and businessman Steve Harvey has revealed that deliberately distancing himself from Hollywood’s party scene may have been one of the most important decisions of his career.

Speaking in a conversation with Kris Fade, Harvey reflected on the impact of social media and modern celebrity culture, noting that reputations can be damaged quickly in an environment where controversy often attracts attention, clicks, and views.

The entertainment icon explained that he chose to focus less on industry awards and more on building a lasting global brand. He added that protecting his family, personal values, and public image became a greater priority than participating in Hollywood’s social circles.

Harvey’s remarks highlight the importance of discipline, long-term thinking, and personal responsibility in maintaining a successful career in the public eye.

The Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has sentenced controversial TikToker Francis Kapwepwe, popularly known as “Why Me,” to two years imprisonment with hard labour after convicting him on two counts of hate speech.

Kapwepwe had earlier changed his plea and admitted guilt before Principal Resident Magistrate Idah Phiri, acknowledging the charges and evidence presented against him during the trial. The offences stemmed from remarks he allegedly made on his TikTok platform, “Why Me the Lion of the World,” which targeted the Tonga-speaking people and residents of Southern Province.

The court also considered his previous conviction for a similar offence, with records showing that he had been convicted in 2025 by the Livingstone Magistrate’s Court on hate speech-related charges.

The case has once again highlighted Zambia’s firm stance against hate speech and content deemed capable of promoting tribal division, reinforcing the national values of unity and social cohesion.

Pastor Moffat of Miracle Life Family Church - MLFC has called on believers to pursue practical holiness by aligning their lives with God’s will through progressive sanctification.

Preaching from 1 Thessalonians 4 during Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Moffat emphasized that holiness is not about isolating oneself from the world, but about living with integrity within the communities where God has placed us.

Using the illustration of a navigational compass, he explained that a believer’s conscience must be continually recalibrated and aligned to Jesus Christ in order to stay on the right spiritual course.

He challenged Christians to demonstrate their faith through sexual purity, brotherly love, and a quiet, diligent lifestyle that serves as a testimony to those around them.

Pastor Moffat encouraged the congregation to embrace God’s ongoing work of sanctification, reminding them that spiritual growth is a daily journey of becoming more like Christ.
