I never talked to B Flow, I won’t edit anything - Yo Maps
MUSIC star Elton Mulenga popularly known as Yo Maps says he will not edit or remove anything from his controversial music video which has women kissing each other in a Christian nation.
This follows a day after Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) president Brian Bwembya known as B Flow indicated that the association had engaged Yo Maps and his team and advised them to revise parts of the video to align with Zambia’s cultural values.
B Flow stated that discussions with the artiste began on April 26, 2026 and that technical guidance had been provided on how to edit the video without affecting its performance online.
The association also revealed that the video’s director, Longwe Nyirenda, popularly known as Director Lo, was aware of the editing process and that a revised version had already been worked on.
But Yo Maps has fired back saying he has never been engaged by B Flow over editing his controversial music video, stating that he has no plans to edit or remove the content from his YouTube channel.
“I don’t remember talking to Mr B Flow concerning anything and for your own information [I am] not editing or removing any video on my YouTube. Those who felt the need to contact me would have done so private,” Yo Maps stated.
And as if adding fuel to the already burning debate, his wife Kidist Kiffle also weighed in with a subtle swipe.
“And to state categorically that it’d be nice to see them do more than just play soccer on the weekends and show up at airports,” she said.
Yo Maps' manager DJ Kandeke has also told Kalemba that the Olio family is shocked to learn that ZAM was lying to the public.
"No one communicated with us. We are not aware of anything regarding the video," said Kandeke.
