THANK YOU
Over the past weeks and months, I have had the honour and privilege of presenting myself as an aspiring candidate for Chainda Ward under the mighty United Party for National Development. This journey has been one of learning, unity, engagement and service to the people of our community.
First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, the leadership of the UPND, party officials, structures, members and supporters for giving me the opportunity to participate in this democratic process. Your guidance, encouragement and commitment to democracy continue to inspire many young leaders like myself to believe in servant leadership and community development.
I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to the people of Chainda Ward โ from Chainda Compound, Avondale, Meanwood, Salama, Ibex and all surrounding areas โ for the love, support and encouragement you showed me throughout this journey. I remain humbled by the confidence many of you placed in me. Your voices, concerns and hopes for a better community will always remain close to my heart.
Although the race has now come to an end and I was unfortunately not adopted as the party candidate, I accept the outcome with respect, maturity and gratitude. Politics is about service, unity and putting the interests of the people first. Leadership is not only about holding a position, but about continuing to work for the betterment of the community regardless of the outcome.
Furthermore, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Japhet Chinyama on his adoption. I wish him success and wisdom as he carries the aspirations of the people of Chainda Ward. As members of one family under the UPND, it is important that we remain united and focused on development, peace and progress for our community.
To all my supporters and well-wishers, this is not the end of the journey. I remain committed to serving the people of Chainda Ward and contributing positively to the development of our community. Together, we can continue building a better Chainda for everyone.
May God bless Chainda Ward, the UPND and the Republic of Zambia.
I remain,
Masiku Jere
