Cholera Update-
Lusaka records 85 new cases bringing total to
166 under treatment.
Kabwe, Katete and Solwezi have also recorded
new cases.
The cumulative death toll is now 69 deaths
countrywide and 2983

Cholera cases rises while vaccine is rolled out
LUSAKA district has recorded 83 new cases (23
children and 60 adults): Total under treatment
179 (51 children and 128 adults);
Of the 179, 54 are admitted to the Cholera
treatment units and 125 at Heroes Cholera
Hospital.Cumulatively Lusaka has recorded
2,755 cases, 2514 of whom were successfully
treated and discharged as at 06:00 am today.
Lusaka cases reported by Cholera Treatment
Units- Chipata (17), Matero (17), Kanyama (26),
Chawama (10), Bauleni (1), Chelstone (12).
The cumulative death toll in Lusaka district
stands at 62 with 1 facility death recorded in
the last 24 hours.
A total of 12 cases have been recorded in the
last 24 hours in other districts; 3 in Chilanfa, 1
in Chibombo, 2 in Mumbwa, 1 in Ndola, 2 in
Chikankata, 2 in Sinazongwe, and 1 in Monze.
Cumulative total cases 149. Cumulative death is
5.
Country-we have a cumulative total of 2905,
218 of whom are under treatment; total
cumulative death is 67.

CHOLERA cases have increased from
the 2,673 reported yesterday to 2,802 today.
Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya has told the
media in Lusaka.
“New cases 114 in Lusaka with 3 deaths, 19 new
cases in other districts country wide cumulative
2802,” he said
Ever since the disease broke out on October 6,
2017, 65 people have died countrywide.

How Smoking Causes Air Pollution? (smoking
environment pollution)
It is quite evident that smoking causes air
pollution and to some extent also pollutes the
ground. Approximately 4000 chemicals are
present in ci******es, which are breathed out
and released in the atmosphere. Out of the
total world population 30% of them
are smokers and the percentage of the
smoking population in developing countries is
much higher. This indicates that an enormous
quantity of pollution is being released in the
atmosphere every day.

the fact that their smoking is indirectly
affecting others health. And they are one of the
direct contributors to the environmental
pollution.
There are few environmental issues, which
every smoker should be aware of. Smoking
affects your environment greatly.
