Despite challenges like limited equipment or space, Chiliboy’s agenda as a photographer stays the same. Start where you are, work with what you have and stay true to what you see.

Don’t let the name fool you😅, our feature Chiliboy, is very much "HER" And she's redefining what it means to see the world through a lens.

Her minimal editing style that highlights the natural, raw, and beautifully human is exactly what makes her the change in photography.

For Edith Chiliboy, photography didn’t begin with perfect shots or fancy gear. It began with curiosity and a desire to express herself in a way drawing couldn’t.

What started as snapping sunsets and flowers on her phone, soon grew into an artistic journey that led her to an internship at Fortress Media, where she learned through trial, error and mentorship from creatives like Mr. Edwin, Waka chisha, AK, and Mr. Goma.

When asked what she’d tell aspiring photographers, her words were simple yet powerful, “Find your unique voice in photography, it’s a powerful tool"

Admin is wrapping up the MCM series today,
ending it with a face that’s no stranger to the creative scene. Mwelwa Chilombo OnCos, the mastermind behind The Rebelz Collective Inc and The Expression Lab Zm.

Mwelwa wears many hats. Creative Director for both Rebelz Collective Inc and Lab Zm, writer, performance poet, visual artist… the list goes on!

He believes that defiance is the heartbeat of a Rebel, breaking limits and achieving what society says you can’t.
“You can have sky-high dreams in a landlocked country," (a line straight from a poem) he says.

One thing that keeps his creativity alive? Work. Because for OnCos, work is the hobby and every day is a chance to find new ways to keep Rebelz and Expression Lab Zm breathing creativity.

OnCos, is the walking version of created to create because even if there was no Rebelz Collective Inc, trust he’d still be creating… just in a different form.

Look who we’ve got on today’s MCM spotlight. The perfect blend of science and art, Quazar!🪐

Quazar is that one creative genius who blends poetry, medicine and music. For him, experiments aren’t limited to test tubes, they spill onto the stage and flow through the mic!

Now, poetry isn’t the only thing in his orbit. Away from what he’s known for, creative writing. He enjoys reading “strange” literature (find out how strange 👀), curating the world’s best playlists or watching movies which by the way, is his ultimate fave.

Photography is his not so known talent and yes, he’s pretty good at it… (his words 😅).

He draws his creative spark from simply living experiencing life, meeting people and finding inspiration in everything around him.

His current faves are Who Do You Think You Are by Y Celeb and the 2018 film Green Book.

Quazar always wanted to be a rebel and to him it meant taking the path the rest are scared cause it's hard to get noticed when you walk with crowd.

It’s lunch hour, and just in case you’re wondering what to get our Creative Director for his birthday, here’s a tip from the admin: buy him rice, cook rice, sell him rice or just put him in a sack of rice (I hear it fixes everything). Probably one of the many reasons it’s his ultimate staple food. 😅🤝🏼

But beyond the rice jokes, let’s get real: having an idea is one thing, but the real magic lies in implementation. That’s why today, the Rebelz Collective Inc team is celebrating not only Mwelwa Chilombo OnCos' growth in numbers, but also his creativity, leadership, and remarkable contribution to The Rebelz Collective Inc, The Expression Lab Zm and the wider artistic industry.

“In my past life, I was a general leading a legion, emperor Caesar commanding his microscopic minions.” — OnCos.

And in his present life? He’s an artist leading the Rebelz! 🤙🏼❤

Here's proof that admin knows her Man Crush Monday feature. If you knew him as "6ixjah" then you knew the “trial plan"

That was him figuring it out, testing the waters, doubting, searching, until the moment of awakening came.

YAV is now the final form, the roots, the journey and the pathway of his creative journey with sounds, melodies etc.

It’s like moving from free trial to the premium plan 😂. But deeper than that, YAV is now all about tapping into identity, finding home, making peace with those who came before him as a creative.

Yes, YAV is a dude not a girl. Here’s a fun fact! he’s been rocking a mask long before COVID ever made it a thing. If you’ve ever caught him on stage without it, consider yourself lucky!😅🙌🏼

Off stage YAV is a Son, a brother, a very curious mind battling to keep the kid within him alive... ABOVE ALL ELSE, YAV is a Rebel.
