We wish to inform the general public that the recently released song in question involves copyright infringement. The individuals currently claiming authorship of the song are not the original writers of the work.
The chorus of the song was originally written in 2012 by Innocent M. Tembo, popularly known in musical circles as Jeli. At the time, the project featured P’Jay and Sunga.
The song was handed over to Jerry D of Cabin Studios in 2012 for completion. Unfortunately, the project was never finalized before the passing of P’Jay.
The original version of the song is currently being produced by renowned Zambian hit maker C Mark.
It is important to clarify that no communication or request for permission was made to Innocent M. Tembo regarding the recording or release of the song by the parties currently claiming ownership.
We therefore wish to place this information on record and inform the public of the true origins of the song. Appropriate steps will be taken to ensure that intellectual property rights are respected and properly recognized.
