This time last year.....i lost everything after my house flooded but God still raised people who came to my aid. Some of you kind souls reached out, Thank you 🙏. I had to start from scratch & am still rebuilding. I sometimes feel like a 🌹 that grew in concrete, suffocated & rejected by the very people am supposed to feel safe around & call home.....I remember how a loved one made FUN of my predicament pa phone & asked me if i caught some fish in the flood waters that submerged electric sockets & destroyed all my household property but
God's grace is sufficient, crocheting has been my therapy through dark days. Even through the pain i still crocheted this beautiful top......

Mubie’s Creations is a textile-focused creative practice centered on handmade crochet and fabric-based designs. I create garments, accessories, and decorative pieces that blend contemporary style with traditional handcraft techniques. Each piece is carefully made, often incorporating bold textures, thoughtful patterns, and a strong sense of individuality.

My journey began with my late maternal grandmother, who taught me how to crochet. Beyond the skill itself, she passed down patience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for handmade work. Her influence continues to shape my practice today and ultimately inspired me to start Mubie’s Creations as a way of honoring her legacy while building something of my own.

My work is inspired by everyday life, African heritage, and the stories carried through craft. I am especially drawn to the slow, intentional nature of crochet—it allows me to create pieces that feel personal, meaningful, and lasting in a fast-moving world. I make because it gives me a way to tell stories without words, connecting me to my roots, my community, and others who value craftsmanship and authenticity.
