LUSAKA FASHION WEEKEND: A GROUNDBREAKING TWO-DAY EXPERIENCE
The Lusaka Fashion Weekend made history with its very first two-day showcase, bringing together creativity, conversation, and cutting-edge style in an unforgettable celebration of Zambia’s growing fashion industry.
Day One: The TED-Style Panel Experience
The opening day featured an inspiring TED-style panel hosted by Mrs. Nabwalya Vlahakis. The discussion brought together influential voices in the industry, including Mrs. Faith Kabende, President of the Association of Designers of Zambia; Vida Mwale, renowned fashion connoisseur and presenter of Miss Universe Zambia; and Machelyn Marshall, CEO of Marsha Fitness.
The panel explored the evolution of Zambian fashion, opportunities within the industry, and the vision for its future, leaving attendees motivated and empowered.
Day Two: The Runway – “Sunday Special”
The second day transformed into a vibrant runway showcase under the theme “Sunday Special.” Designers delivered bold, elegant, and culturally rich collections, featuring standout pieces from Eta by Eta, Chirsha Arts, Luwi Fashions, Archana’s Collection, and award-winning designer Mumu Dream Corner.
Each collection reflected innovation, identity, and the dynamic spirit of African fashion.
The event proudly featured 23 models, each bringing life and personality to the runway with confidence and grace.

This milestone event was made possible through the generous support of Boylusaka Enterprises, ZRA (Zambia Revenue Authority), Zambia Breweries, and Mrs. Haantinga Kaira, whose contributions helped elevate the experience to new heights. A New Standard for Fashion in Zambia
