She walked into IdaCh TV Zambia studios with tears in her eyes and fire in her heart.Her name is Janet Chanda. A 14-point school leaver, and a double orphan.

Her dream is simple but bold,to become a truck or dump truck driver. In an industry where few women dare to go, Janet wants to steer.

But since finishing secondary school, her dream has been parked. Lack of finances has kept her off the road. Today, Janet is not asking for money. She’s asking for a chance.

A chance to be taken to driving school. A chance to turn grief into gears. A chance to prove that being orphaned does not mean being forgotten.
