Hey guys you can now own one of my original pieces for only k150 ($10). It is a series of A5 paintings that have multiple stories that somehow intertwine into one. When I made the first piece “doomscrolling will not feel the void” I had 1984 in mind; the concept of the telescreen and the enslaved souls of Oceania after that came “Let go of the hate”, also another 1984 themed painting. By the time I wanted to do the third painting I felt something blocking my chi, like a certain idea I had been trying to express was blocking the third painting so I got it out of the way by painting the Mwana Mpebvo mask, from that colour palette came “the dancing spirits” almost instantaneously and my heart rested. In as much as I love the series I have to sell them to support other bigger pieces I’ve been dying to make.

On my way to campus I was watching Sampa’s location video, on my way back I had a similar experience except I was drawing instead of singing at the back of the van. The drivers were curious about what I was doing, one of them even got my line because he wanted to see the end results he hasn’t texted tho. Reminds me of my crush.

Apart from my live sketches I also make awesome digital art. This one is called Trinity.

Had such a amazing conversation with Ari. One of the key takeaways is that when we go through a lot of hardship in life it shouldn’t make us harder but more empathetic to people. Wise words Ari
