You know whatâs funny about feeling lost? It doesnât come with a warning. No flashing lights. No sirens. It just⌠creeps in. One day, youâre walking through life, thinking you know where youâre headed, and then suddenly, the path beneath your feet disappears. Youâre standing in the middle of nowhere, spinning in circles, and all you can think is, What the hell am I doing here?
The world doesnât stop to let you figure it out, either. Everyone else seems to have their GPS perfectly setânew jobs, engagements, graduations, babies. Instagram milestones rolling by like clockwork while you sit there, staring at the cracks in your ceiling, wondering if maybe youâve just⌠failed.
Itâs dark in that place. Lonely. You start asking questions youâre too scared to answer. Am I wasting my life? Did I miss my chance? Will I ever feel like I belong anywhere?
But hereâs the thing no one tells you: being lost doesnât mean youâre broken. Being lost means youâre moving. It means youâve stepped away from the scripted version of your life, the one everyone else wrote for you. And yeah, itâs terrifying to look around and realize you donât have a map. But maybe thatâs the point.
Because when youâre lost, youâre free to find things you didnât even know you were looking for. You stumble into unexpected corners of yourself. You figure out what you loveânot because someone told you to love it, but because it lit a fire inside you.
Do you think explorers set out knowing exactly where they were going? Of course not. They wandered, unsure if theyâd hit gold or fall off the edge of the earth. But they kept going, because sometimes, not knowing is what makes the discovery possible.
So maybe you donât have all the answers right now. Maybe you donât even know the questions yet. Thatâs okay. Keep walking. Keep spinning in those circles if you have to. The path doesnât show itself to the ones who panic and give up; it shows itself to the ones who are brave enough to stand still in the uncertainty
