Same poster, but using different color-grading methods.

The first: Burnt Orange: This one wasn’t color graded using Camera Raw. I mainly used Photoshop adjustment layers, including Color Lookup, Brightness/Contrast, and Hue/Saturation.

The second: Dark Vice City: For this one, I only used Camera Raw and manually adjusted the image. If I remember correctly, I used around 80% of the tools available in Camera Raw.

The third: Godfather: This version was inspired by the overall feel of The Godfather poster. I didn’t try to recreate it exactly, but I really liked the way they handled the contrast, and that was something I wanted to achieve with this version. I hope that makes sense. For this one, I used the Camera Raw filter preset CM05 in the Cinematic style.

The last: Purple & Yellow: This one was heavily inspired by Sorry to Bother You. I really liked the way those colors worked together, so I wanted to explore a similar feeling with this poster. This was the filter version that came out of the process of creating the original poster.

These are some of my favorite flyers I’ve made for Booth Nightclub. The idea is to show how the same layout can create completely different-looking flyers. Over time, I’ve noticed, especially in South Africa, that they often stick to one layout but switch up the designs. This isn’t unique to South Africa; it’s common worldwide. It builds familiarity and, simply put, helps create an identity that defines their look and feel. My favorite is the one for Shoday 😅 Which one’s yours?
