THERE IS VALUE IN BEING TOGETHER

We live in a world where so much can happen online. We can meet, learn, work and communicate without ever sharing the same physical space.

But there is something different about gathering in person.

The conversation that continues after the meeting. The unexpected connection. The shared experience. The sense of belonging that comes from simply being in a room together.

At Novalis Ubuntu Institute, we believe there will always be a place for people to come together in real life.

Because community is not only something we talk about. It is something we experience together.

Thirty-two years after political liberation, and at a time when accelerated artificial intelligence is reshaping the world around us, we are called to consider an important question:

How will we steward the future of our country and our nation?

As we celebrate our heritage, let us honour our ancestors and the leaders who shaped the path before us. Let us also recognise those in leadership today who are taking the reins with courage, integrity and care.

We know them when we see them.

This Heritage Day, let us cheer the new sons and daughters of Africa on, and encourage them to carry our shared future forward with wisdom, responsibility and Ubuntu.

A SEASON OF RENEWAL. A LEGACY OF COMMUNITY.

The Spring Equinox marks a time of balance, renewal and new beginnings.

It is also a meaningful time for Novalis Ubuntu Institute. Incorporated on 21 September 1984, Novalis Ubuntu has, over the years, been a place where many people, communities, ideas and events have found a home.

Today, we celebrate that history and the many people who have contributed to our journey.

May we continue to create spaces for learning, connection, growth and Ubuntu for generations to come.
