TATTOO AFTERCARE
PLASTER:

KEEP THE PLASTER ON FOR 4–7 DAYS.
If it starts flapping, lifting, or opens up, remove it immediately. The plaster is waterproof, so showering is fine (no soaking).

NO PLASTER:
After 40 minutes:
• Gently wash your tattoo with Dove, Sanex, or Protex soap (never scrub) (unscented soap with no alcohol or colourants.)
• Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
• Apply a thin layer of E45, tattoo cream, or aqueous cream.

ONCE THE PLASTER IS OFF:
• Wash your tattoo 2–3 times a day for a 2 week period.
• Keep it lightly moisturised so it doesn’t dry out.

AVOID:
• Swimming, Baths and Saunas
Quick showers are perfectly fine.

WHAT’S NORMAL?
• Redness and swelling for the first 1–2 days.
• Light peeling and itching during healing.
• Coloured scabs on colour tattoos.

If you’re concerned about anything, contact your tattoo artist or seek medical advice.
TREAT IT LIKE AN OPEN WOUND
Remember, infections can be picked up from any surface. Keep your tattoo clean and avoid unnecessary touching.

WHEN SCABBING STARTS:
• Wear loose clothing that won’t rub on the tattoo.
• Do not scratch, pick, peel, or remove scabs.

SUN & EXERCISE
• Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight.
• Do not apply sunscreen until the tattoo is fully healed.
• Avoid the gym for about 2 weeks, or until healed, due to bacteria on equipment and excessive movement of the tattooed area.

HEALING TIMELINE
• Around 2 weeks: Scabs should be gone, but the tattoo may still look shiny or slightly raised.
• Around 3½ weeks: The tattoo begins to settle into the skin.

HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR TATTOO DAY
Here’s how to make your session as comfortable as possible:
1. Drink lots of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
2. Moisturise your skin so it’s in great condition for tattooing.
3. Exfoliate gently a day or two before your appointment.
4. Avoid alcohol before your session – it can increase bleeding and affect your blood sugar levels.
5. Get a good night’s sleep. Tired clients are grumpy clients!
6. Eat a proper breakfast (or meal) before your appointment. Tattoos and empty stomachs are not friends.
7. Dress smart! Don’t wear white, and wear clothing that gives me access to the area being tattooed without leaving you feeling exposed.
8. Be comfortable. You’ll be sitting or lying on plastic wrap for a while, so wear loose, comfy clothes that won’t leave you feeling sweaty or squashed.
WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
1. Snacks or sugary treats (just in case your blood sugar decides to be dramatic).
2. Water or cold drinks.
3. Lunch for longer sessions.
4. Earphones if you’d like to listen to music, audiobooks, podcasts, or watch something.
5. A warm top—and in winter, feel free to bring a cosy blanket. Tattoo studios can get chilly!
The better prepared you are, the easier and more enjoyable your tattoo experience will be. I can’t wait to tattoo you!

DESIGN PROCESS
A lot of people ask how my booking process works, so here’s the easy version!

Consultations are done via WhatsApp-0741864986
Why? Because it keeps everything in one place and creates a handy paper trail for both of us. Plus, I’m a very visual person!

When enquiring, please send:
✔️ 1 image that shows the style you’re after
✔️ Up to 4 reference images of your idea
✔️ Placement on the body
✔️ Approximate size

With that information, I can create a design that matches your vision and easily refer back to everything if your appointment is booked months in advance.

*More reference photos does not always mean a better design!
Too many images can become confusing and make it unclear what you actually want. The more specific you are, the better I can bring your idea to life.

Once we’ve chosen a date:
✔️ Your appointment is secured with a deposit.
✔️ I work on your design closer to your booking date.
✔️ Your design will be sent 2–3 days before your appointment.

*There is NO design fee included in the normal booking process.

However:
• If the concept changes completely after I’ve started designing, or
• More than 4 major revisions are requested a percentage of the deposit may be allocated toward the design time already invested.

*Want to see your design earlier than the standard 2–3 days before your appointment?
No problem! An additional design fee will apply for early design requests.
My goal is always to create something custom and unique.
