Morning everyone, BOY what a year 2020 was!!
I'm sure everyone has had some ups and downs and tough battles, still to fight through.
My sincere condolences to those that have lost a loved one.
My family has also lost a very SPECIAL someone 2 days before Christmas. My Stepdaughter was very tired and generally not feeling well, she had no energy. What we did not know was that she had found out that she had Breast Cancer early last year. The Doctor had the results for about three weeks before he called her in. Then about two weeks later it was the lockdown. Time went on and nothing could really be done. She kept hoping for better results due to home remedies and a very expensive machine she was using, given to her to try from a reliable friend she knew. After the lockdown, she went for a second opinion and the results showed all negative, which is when she only told some of her family that she had breast cancer. Then another week or so went by and she was not feeling well again with no energy. Her whole family thought it was from work as she was under ALOT of pressure at work and three kiddos to look after. My husband and I (the Grandparents) took the kiddos so she could at least rest, as she was now on sick leave. This went on for about three weeks and by now she can't even sit up without being in serious pain. Another doctors appointment to which he said HOSPITAL NOW!! He thinks she has liver cancer. So we rushed her off the hospital where NO-ONE could see her, not even her husband (they just had their 15 year anniversary, 1st December). That I think that was the worst, NOT KNOWING WHATS GOING ON WITH HER, NO CONTACT WITH HER - EVERYONE SO WORRIED ABOUT HER. She held on for about two weeks. Then her husband got the news that his brother had just passed away 15th December, He barely got through that and then got the news that his wife had also passed away 22nd December. 4 days after their 4 year old twins birthday, (she couldn't wait to see them open their birthday presents) 2 days before Christmas and it'll be 37days till her birthday!!! When we received the news the doctors told us she had aggressive cancer, it was in her bones and her blood, and he had never seen someone fight to stay alive like she tried to do. Most patients don't last this long he said.
Our whole family is devastated by this!
Denise, you will be truly missed. You were one of a kind, and no matter what life threw at you, you were always happy with what you had. The SPECIAL BOND you had with your sister, is something I'll NEVER forget. The love you had for Jacques and your beautiful kiddos, Skylar, Jade and Ethan. You so desperately wanted to have children.
Your Dad and I promise to be there for the girls and Ethan whenever they need us and to share with the kids just how much you LOVED them. We LOVE spending time with them.
May you rest in peace my sweetheart, love you always.
