I would love to tell you a bit about my "Pet Portrait" 2-Day Class. It will be based on a photo of your pet. Work on your design in class and prepare it for machine stitching at home or bring your machine on the last day to start stitching in class. The focus of the class entails determining value, good fabric choices, transferring the design, and thoughtful background ideas. With any technique such as collage, raw edge appliqué & stitching or thread painting, you will create a wall quilt of your precious pet. You can spend your 2 days designing and getting your piece 'stitch-ready' or you can bring your machine and begin stitching on the 2nd day.
Consider this a fun time of creativity and exploring the possibilities while making your very own pet portrait. It can be a cat, dog, bird, fish, frog, snail or snake! Come and play!
We will go over various background options and I will demonstrate some stitching methods including couching and thread painting. You can choose which method you want to use on your piece.
