Uta Street Presentations is an emerging arts and humanity platform for Mthatha and its surroundings Hip Hop Culture. The platform offers services like, music promoting on its website, blogs, and music hosting - cloud side.

This Grind Awake brand serves to promote and groom rappers lyrically, and at the same time giving them a way of living based on our future plans. Not only battle rap is served by this brand, we also have plots for Hip Hop Music, Hip Hop Dance, Poetry etc.. MISSION OF GRIND AWAKE

BATTLE FORMAT OF GRIND AWAKE

From 2-4 min, as agreed upon by both Mcees or dance crews, 3 rounds each battle. No beats, just acappella (for rap battles) - with a camera recording all rounds. For crew battles, round one and third is your beat, round two our beats, you freestyle. Battles are both judged and non-judged, based on the event type e.g promo battles or title match.

Easy - if you are a battle rapper, prepare a voice recording, from 01:30 to 2 min, if have a a video on youtube, a link is required. My name is Wandisile aka Wanda. In the electrical engineering class of 2008 at MUT, my fellow students gave me the name "Megawatt" which I fell in love with and ended up using it as my stage name.

Due to a number of other artists using this name too, my fans and music lovers encountered a lot of challenges in finding my music on most music sites using this name. Even when you go to Google, the internet takes you straight to Eskom Head Quarters in Johannesburg "Megawatt Park".

Now I have no choice but to change my stage name to make it easy for everyone to find my music.
My new Stage Name is "One-Da"
