Meet the incredible Albert Thabang Mdlalose, who is stepping onto the stage to bring the powerful role of Shadow to life in Morwalo waSetu at the TX Theatre on 29 August 2016!

A powerhouse in contemporary dance, Albert's remarkable journey includes joining the professional company at Moving Into Dance Mopathong in 2015, where he toured internationally to Germany, Greece, Italy, and the Ivory Coast, as well as performing in major regional and international collaborations like The Big City, Big Dreams and Sunnyboy Motau’s Man Loging at the Jomba Festival.

He later joined and toured internationally with Vuyani Dance Theatre in 2022, starring in acclaimed productions such as Gregory Maqoma’s Ketima, Third World Express, Umoya, Bantu, Genesis and the internationally acclaimed CION: Requiem of Ravel's Bolero, which earned him a well-deserved promotion to Senior Dancer in 2024.

Meet our incredible lead singer, Mojalefa Mosia!

Mojalefa's remarkable musical journey has seen him shine on major stages across South Africa. In 2021, he was a lead singer on The Revelation by Molefe Nong and Thabo Makolobate at the Soweto Theatre. In 2022, he brought his talents as a backing vocalist for Step Afrika, a show that traveled from the Centre for the Less Good Idea to the Soweto Theatre. He then joined the Tapcussionist Triad as a lead singer in 2023 for Black Labone at the State Theatre in Pretoria, and in 2025, he captivated audiences as a lead singer on Mobu by Simphiwe Sikhakhane at the Alexander Theatre.

Now, he is bringing his extraordinary voice and unmatched energy to the Morwalo waSetu stage at the TX Theatre on 29 August 2026! Come support his incredible artistry live. 🔥🎟️

With an elite background spanning Moving Into Dance Mophatong, Vuyani Dance Theatre under Gregory Vuyani Maqoma, world-class stages across the US, Spain, Russia, and France, and iconic productions like Sarafina!, Ngwakwane brings unmatched depth, technical brilliance, and storytelling power to our production.

The TX Theatre is proudly represented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, marking an incredible journey from a small township theatre company to some of the world’s biggest stages. The CEO and Artistic Director has had three significant opportunities in the UK. He co directed Dreamscape, which enjoyed a successful run at The Arcola Theatre, and worked on Hedz, a hip hop opera with Kim Adonis Tshwarelo Selolo and the Illgooods Company. He is now in Edinburgh working on BlackBox, a sold out production written and directed by Rickerby Hinds. This achievement celebrates the growth, resilience and global impact of township theatre.
