PHAHLANA FELLOWS 2026
CALLING 3 EMERGING FEMALE DANCE ARTISTS FROM TEMBISA
PHAHLANA is looking for 3 young female dancers, aged 19–24 Years old from Tembisa, who are trained in Indigenous dance forms, to join the PHAHLANA Fellows programme.
The fellowship is a practical opportunity to learn, participate and engage with the creative process of PHAHLANA. Fellows will also have tasks to complete as part of the programme.
This is not a casting call for the main production, but an opportunity to learn from and engage with the process of making the work.
Applicants must be available from 06–18 OCTOBER 2026 at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre.

° 1 min solo in any Indigenous dance form you are trained in.
° 30s Indigenous song
° 1 min brief INTRODUCTION (include Name, Age and where you are based) explaining why you would like to be a PHAHLANA Fellow.
You may send the submission as one video or three separate video clips.
