🎻 A Special Concert celebrating Music & Family 🎶
Music has always been at the heart of the Naudé family, and for siblings Christiaan and Carina, it is both a passion and a powerful bond. From their first violin lessons with their mother to the stage today, their journey has been shaped by dedication, talent, and a deep love for making music.
Christiaan expresses himself through the rich voice of the cello, while Carina shines as a versatile musician on violin and viola. Together, they share a natural musical connection that audiences can truly feel.
Christiaan (19) studied under Karin Scholtz and Carel Henn; and has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras such as the Rand Symphony Ochestra, Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Youth Orchestra as well as Pretoria Symphony Orchestra. Christiaan passed both his Trinity and Unisa grade 8 with distinction. Currently Christiaan is studying cello as part of his BMus degree at the University of Stellenbosch under Peter Martens.
Carina (23) completed her BMus degree in 2025 with a distinction in performance, studying violin under Suzanne Martens. She is active in the local chamber music scene and serves as a violin teacher at the Stellenbosch Youth Orchestra. Carina has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Rand Symphony Orchestra (2017,2019) The Gauteng Philharmonic Orchestra (2018) and the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra (2018,2024,2025). In 2025 Carina was also part of the Mzansi Youth Orchestra that performed in Carnegie Hall, USA. In 2025 she attended the NCH Master Course in Dublin, Ireland, where she received masterclasses from Hyeyoon Park and Lena Neudauer. Carina is currently an ad hoc member of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, where she plays the violin.
Carina has been accepted to study violin from September 2026 under Andre Swanepoel at Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick. She is busy applying for bursaries to support her with her studies abroad.
