The Winelands Blues Festival returns for 2026, bringing together some of South Africa’s finest blues talent for a day of seriously good music.

This year’s lineup features Albert Frost, Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace, Schalk Joubert’s World Ensemble, Richard Pryor’s Backline Blues, Fake Leather Blues Band, Hugo Veldsman and Blues Broers.
From dirty blues riffs to soulful grooves and world-class musicianship, this one’s for the lovers of live music.

HOWZIT, MENSE! SUNSET SWEATSHOP IS TURNING 10!

From after-hours jams in a Joostenbergvlakte workshop to festival main stages and a number-one hit. Not a bad ten years, hey?

This Sunday 25 October, Sunset Sweatshop brings the 10-year anniversary party to Daisy Jones. Expect big singalongs, ghoema rock, reggae, funk, soul and all the feel-good South African flavour that gets even the “ek dans nie” crowd moving.

Battersby gets the party started at 14h00, followed by Sunset Sweatshop at 15h00.

Bring the kids, bring your mates, grab a cold one and let’s give these oke’s the Daisy Jones welcome they deserve.

Drie kunstenaars. Drie verskillende wêrelde. Een taal wat nooit ophou stories vertel nie.

Op Saterdag 17 Oktober bring Magé, SkallaBrak en die Willim Welsyn Band hul eie unieke klank na Daisy Jones vir ’n aand waar Afrikaanse musiek al sy kante wys.

Van Magé se persoonlike, introspektiewe liedjies tot SkallaBrak se alternatiewe rock, skerp waarnemings en kenmerkende humor, en Willim Welsyn se rou rock, folk en eerlike lirieke. Dis Afrikaans sonder ’n boksie. Soms sag, soms hard, soms nostalgies, soms rebels, maar altyd vol stories.

Afrikaans is nie net ’n taal nie. Dis ’n wêreld vol stories, karakters en musiek. En hierdie drie kunstenaars vertel dit elkeen op hul eie manier.

THE 80s ARE CALLING. AND IT’S FOR A GOOD CAUSE.

Last year’s party was such a success, Maretha and Leon Rossouw are bringing it back for round two!

On Friday 16 October, Daisy Jones goes back to the decade of big hair, bigger hits and dance floors that don’t know when to quit. DJ RossLeo is taking you on a musical trip through the 80s and beyond, from pop and rock to disco and synth-pop classics.

But this one’s about more than nostalgia.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and 100% of the event profits, along with extra donations, will go to Project Flamingo , supporting dignified breast cancer care for patients relying on South Africa’s public health system.

So dig out the denim, tease that hair, pull on the legwarmers and shoulder pads, and come dance for something that matters.
