This year, as part of the Calamari Festival, a competition for children between the ages of 5 and 12 was introduced.
Because the Calamari Festival focuses on the importance of the ocean and the need to preserve it to sustain the valuable Chokka industry, the competition urged the participants to use litter creatively.

The Calamari Festival is packed with excitement this weekend!

Kicking things off today is the Chokka Dune Trail Hike.

Friday; Dance to the tunes of Kurt Darren,
join the fun Beer Run at St Francis Breweries,
and experience the Art of Ci**rs at restaurant vin de Beuf.

Saturday; Explore the vibrant St Francis Market, then catch the St Francis Showcase: South Africa vs. Argentina Rugby, an entertaining 80’s Show, and the annual Dog Show.

Closing off the festival is a South African favourite, the one and only at St Francis brewery on Saturday night.
