A harvest of PEACE

In this artwork olives are being harvested. The fruit is still green, seemingly being harvested too soon. The wonderful thing about olives is that they can be picked and used while unripe and still green or black and fully ripened. I believe God can and does do the same in our lives. He uses the fruit our lives produces at different times for different purposes, even though we may think that we are not ready in a certain area to be used (at times allowing our fear of what the world and what people will think to overshadow what we believe God is asking us to do). It is so important that we listen carefully to our Father’s voice, fearing and trusting His direction above anyone else, He will reveal the perfect time to bring in the harvest.

Hanging from the handle of the pruning shears is a pocket watch. The watch seems to be missing some vital components - (the watch hands). I believe the reason for this is to reminds us that God operates outside of time, His time is not our time.

The olive is a symbol of PEACE, and I felt this to be the overwhelming message of this artwork.

James 3:18 (AMPC) - “18 And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God’s will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement, and harmony between individuals, with undisturbedness, in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].”

Be ready at all times to harvest the fruit God has placed in your life, it has been placed in you for a reason, be ready and willing in every season to harvest and then sow into the lives of others.

James 3:18 (NIV) - "18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness."

The watch is connected to the pruning shears by a scarlet and gold thread which I believe points to our Saviour Jesus Christ Who is our connection to the Father.

Colossians 3:15 (ESV) - "15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."

Matthew 5:9 (NIV) - "9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

This prophetic art commission features a rose succulent being crowned. the succulent is planted in the word of God. Around the succulent are the broken shards of a terracotta pot.

Below is my interpretation of the artwork and although it was crafted for someone specifically, I trust God will use it to minister to many others today:

One of the greatest characteristics of succulents is it's ability to retain water (some up to 95%), they can also survive being planted just about anywhere. Many people are resilient and adaptable like the succulent, able to survive in times of lack and in times of plenty, adapting to their environment, and the reason for this is because they are planted in God word and have filled themselves with living water (Jesus Christ)

Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving

I felt strongly that the succulent needed to be the Red Tipped Desert Rose Succulent - Echeveria Pulidonis, I believe that the red tips are symbolic of the blood of Christ that has marked and flows through every area of our lives. A succulent has the ability to propagate an entire new plant from a single leaf. I believe having been adopted and crowned as son's and daughter's of the King, we now have the ability to reproduce what you have been given into the lives of others.

I feel the broken shards of terracotta pots represent the mold that the world has tried to place many in, I believe God is breaking that mold, because you are being called for far more.

The two scriptures used in the artwork are:
1) Ephesians 4:15 (AMPC) - 15 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

2) 2 Peter 3:18 (AMPC) - 18 But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honour, majesty, and splendour) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)!

Its time for many to release the orphan spirit in your life and take up the spirit of Royalty. Stop listening to worldly opinions, the only opinion that matters is your Heavenly Father's.

Growing from the Rock of ages

This recently commissioned artwork has a treasure trove of spiritual significance.

Below a list of the things I picked up on, perhaps the Holy Spirit reveals others to you, if so, I would love to hear them (via WhatsApp or in the comments below 072 257 4191).

- In this image you see a poppy in full bloom, an explosion of red. The poppy is often used as a symbol of the blood of Christ, as a follower of Christ His blood flows through our veins and we are beautifully created in His image.

- You will see that there are gold highlights on the flower - the colour Gold often used as a symbol of Glory, Divinity, Kingship, Beauty, Preciousness, Holiness, Majesty, Righteousness.

- The poppy is in full bloom, no longer a bud pointing to a change of season.

- The butterfly is no longer a worm, it has Metamorphosized revealing it’s full beauty and purpose - to fly.

- I believe this artwork points to a time of preparation being finished, and the start of a time of moving into the full purpose of what God has planned.

- The water flowing from the rock points to God’s endless provision, providing you with all sustenance you will ever need.
John 4:14 (NKJV) - “14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””

- I believe when we stay anchored to the Rock of ages, we will flourish where we are planted.
Isaiah 26:4 (Amp) - “Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the LORD GOD is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”

I prayer that you is that will never forget Who your anchor is, the Supplier of all you will ever need, and that you will continue to walk in covenant with Him, revealing His beauty to the world.
Hebrews 7:22 (NKJV) - “22 by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.”

Plugged into, and carrying the sound of the King

A few years back I made an artwork depicting the fact that as adopted sons and daughters of God we have access to the ear of the King of kings. This prophetic artwork recently completed for a client shows the beautiful music that flows from that divine connection.

When we remain plugged in relationship with God as our power source, our lives produce a sound which transforms not only ourselves, but also the lives of those around us.

Today I want to publicly honour God for what He has done.

As many of you may know our journey over the past 7 years of running this ministry has not always been a smooth one. My family and I have moved a total of 24 times in 7 years, but God has carried us through each move as well as many other challenges we have faced along the way.

It is with a grateful heart that I share the news that we have moved to a farm on the outskirts of Hopefield; in a miraculous way God led us to a wonderful Christian couple who have rented us a space to live in and run our ministry from.

We would like to thank every follower of Art Refined who have prayed, trusted and supported us over the years... we love and appreciate you all so very much.

The attached image was taken of the corner of our home, as you can see there is a stone at the base of the wall on which we have spray painted a stencil, proclaiming Yeshua as our chief cornerstone (Eph. 2:20), the One on Whom we choose to build our lives.

I want to encourage all followers of Christ to use what God has placed in your hands to glorify Him. Here a simple can of spray paint and a stencil have become a landmark and declaration to everyone passing by, that Christ is our foundation.

I would also like to share the image of an artwork I painted in 2022. Many years before it came to pass, this was already written into God's plan for our lives. I want to encourage you to Continue to place your trust in the ONE immovable foundation - Jesus Christ.

Make Him the FIELD in which you choose to plant your HOPE.

Blessings,
Neil & Riana Breebaart

'Behold I am doing a new thing'

Although this artwork was created for one specific person and holds a very special meaning to them, I believe there are many others who need to hear its message.

Psalm 34:7-9 (NKJV) - "7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them. 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! 9 Oh, fear the Lord, you, His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him."

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) - "18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

I feel there are many who need to hear these words - "as the sun sets on your dreams, and it seems all possibilities are drawing to a close. I want to encourage you to continue to reverently fear the Lord and place your trust in Him. Tomorrow holds the promise of a new thing. Your Father is faithful and can make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Don't give up... continue to trust Him, and I believe that you will taste and see that the Lord is good.

Blessings,
Neil

"Worship in spirit and truth"

John 4:21 (NKJV) - "21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”"

Psalm 103:1 (AMPC) - "1 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!"

Psalm 68:4 (AMPC) - "4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts—His name is the Lord—be in high spirits and glory before Him!"

Psalm 105:1 (AMPC) - "1 O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His doings among the peoples!"

John 4:23-24 (MSG) - 23-24 “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”

Luke 14:15-18, 23, 24 (NKJV)
The Parable of the Great Supper
15 Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat [a]bread in the kingdom of God!” 16 Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, 17 and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ 18 But they all with one accord began to make excuses... still there is room.’ 23 Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24 For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’”

Stop making excuses... there is still room at His table!
Don't miss your invitation

2 Corinthians 4:13
New King James Version
"13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,"

2 Corinthians 4:13-15
The Message
"13-15 We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!"

In tune with the Spirit

Romans 12:1-2 (AMPC) - "12 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."

When you are in tune with the Holy Spirit, your life will resonate the perfect will of God.
