"The generosity of light" Sometimes I think the communication of paintings translates mostly through how a thing is painted, not what was painted, the object seems irrelevant, to me at least. In other words the duality of what is thought of as mundane versus extraordinary doesn't seem to exist, as the light is not at all discriminating.

The commissioned painting above depicts Finn, a tripod hero! He was adopted by the van Eck family in 2020 from a rescue shelter. Another dog had attacked him and he was brought in as a scruffy, badly injured dog. As a result of this unfortunate incident, his back leg had to be amputated. Today, Finn is a completely different dog who lives life to the fullest by going for daily walks at Radloff dog park and the beach. He is truly a tremendous tripod!
