My first time in the kaleidoscopic city of Athens. Honoured to install this work in the beautifully crafted home of close friends.
Thank you, for making this possible, and for your kindness that carries everything forward.

Who are these works for?
They are for anyone who looks at it.

Creating these three works took a heroic effort. Working for months, day and night, weekdays and weekends, in the studio with ten technical assistants and three administrators. It’s a process that couples exhaustion and euphoria.

And when we finally had them standing and polished, I couldn’t believe what we had done. Even when looking at them, it’s hard to believe that they actually exist in the real world.

I feel so grateful to be the channel that brings these sculptures into existence, the conductor of this metaphysical orchestra.

Modeling in the photograph is the studio’s best looking technicians, Tinei and Kuda.

It was so much fun to conceptualize, realize and then materialize this 4m high work, Monumental Murmur (Aurora), at Schloss Leopoldskron during Salzburg Global Africa Focus Summit.

I also had the pleasure of giving a talk during the summit about art, creativity and the myriad multicultural hands that go into making these works.

Creative collaboration and cooperation is humanity’s greatest strength. It is what defines the abundance of our civilizations. It is makes life worth living.

I hope that these works are a testament to the extraordinary possibility’s of the African continent and the radiant capabilities of our people.

Man cannot live by bread alone.

Thanks to House of Arts .at for making this happen.
