Centred around the transformative impact of para surfing, Facing Forward follows the journey to the Para Surf 2024 competition, sharing the stories of athletes who have found healing, confidence and community through adaptive sport. The film was recognised for its powerful portrayal of inclusion, showcasing how resilience, accessibility and opportunity can empower individuals to thrive. It is a moving testament to ability, dignity and the strength of the human spirit.

The Inclusive Lens Awards 2026 are looking for non-scripted films that authentically represent the experiences of people with disabilities, challenge perceptions, and champion accessibility and inclusion through meaningful storytelling.
