HOW TO READ A SCRIPT!

1. Read it for the first time, as though you are reading a love letter, do not take notes, read to understand what the script is talking about
2. Read again, to fill the gaps, to see if you missed anything the first time around, just to understand the story
3. Take your pen and paper, or marker, read for the third time, take notes, anything that you think needs to be highlighted, who is the character, what their needs or intentions are, emotional journey, story arc, etc...
4. Go through the script again looking for the same things as in 3 above
5. Now read again, without taking notes, as in 1. above, but now with the consciousness of all the things (nuggets) that you found in the script.
6. You should now know the story, you should now be able to go through the script without looking at it, just taking cursory glances where you stumble,
7. Repeat 6 above
8. Repeat 7 above
9. Walk the script without looking at it
10. Get into character and then perform

Did I at any point say you should memorize??? Hell NO!

To all the talented actors who expressed interest in our upcoming project, we apologize for the delay in communication. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to adjust our priorities and put our production on hold.
