Situated in South Africa’s picturesque Garden Route, Ruiterbosch Fun Farm / Pretplaas (RFF) nestles in the Ruiterbosch Valley at the foot of the Robinsons Pass, approximately 15 to 20 minutes (25kms) drive from Hartenbos and Mossel Bay, on the R328 between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. We provide an unique and special choice in Garden Route Tourism, creating a differentiated experience and capitalizi

ng on farm style hospitality and family orientated entertainment. We differentiate the venue by creating an atmosphere of peacefulness and enjoyment, the perfect venue for adults to feast on a variety of craft type meals and drinks, unwind and relax while the children can play and participate in various activities in a safe and wholesome environment. (WCBS) a unique conservation effort between RFF and CBISA (Conservation of Butterflies in South Africa). Experience a rare butterfly encounter in our sanctuary (including our amasing Butterfly Dome (Lepidome), only the second of its kind in South Africa and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere). Our guided butterfly tours include a visit to our butterfly garden, museum and lecture area, lepidome and breeding areas. Our other facilities and activities includes: “Die Afdak” Restaurant and outside covered eating areas, Large Open Lawns, Jungle Gyms and Play Areas for children of different age groups, Jumping Castles, Craft shops, Rock Art Swimming Pool Music Stage, Train Rides, Tractor and Trailer rides, etc. Our Touch Farm provides the opportunity for children of all ages to safely interact with our farm animals and participate in various outdoor activities and games. The distinctive Wooden Wedding chapel Butterfly Sanctuary and country style facility create an idyllic venue for weddings, functions and conferences, catering for up to 80 quests. Our trained team at the Farm will ensure the perfect wedding or function amongst the beautiful surrounding mountains and countryside in an area known for the best all year climate in South Africa. We always endeavour to perfect every detail in accordance with our client’s specific requirements and preferences for their wedding or function. We provide specialised accommodation for a limited number of guests. Expect to stay in a well-equipped and tastefully country styled self catering unit offering a range of amenities and services including DSTV, WIFI, room and laundry service. Our accommodation for functions are augmented by other hotels and guesthouses in our area catering for your specific needs.
