The Gauteng Department of Education will be conducting the June 16 Fashion show again this year. The show will take place on the 16th of June 2019 at Nasrec. We are currently scouting for young designers within the 19 – 33 years age group. The selected designers who will be taking part in the show will receive an NYDA Grant between 10k – 100k which will be used to purchase equipment and other raw material. Please assist us in identifying youth owned SMMEs who produce the following:

• Apparel – Street wear; denim clothing; and other affordable clothing items. Affordable means R200 - R800 retail price items.

• Jewellery – Beaded; gold plated;or silver plated

• Accessories

• Shoe makers

All candidates must attend the selection process as follows:


Date: 13th May 2019
Time: 11am – 2pm

Venue: Gauteng Department of Education; 17 Simmons Street; Johannesburg Central.

Each business must bring the documents mentioned in the criteria attachment. NYDA will be there to collect the documents and begin the funding process. If documents are missing the SMME will not be funded.
